1. REMARQUE IMPORTANTE
CAUTION: RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK - DO NOT OPEN
WARNING: SHOCK HAZARD - DO NOT OPEN
AVIS: RISQUE DE CHOC ÉLECTRIQUE - NE PAS OUVRIR
The lightning bolt symbol with an arrow inside an equilateral triangle warns the user of the presence of dangerous voltage within the product enclosure, sufficient to constitute an electric shock hazard.
The exclamation mark in an equilateral triangle warns the user of important operating and maintenance instructions (routine maintenance) in the documents accompanying the apparatus.
AVERTISSEMENT: To prevent fire or electric shock, do not expose this apparatus to rain or humidity.
AVERTISSEMENT: Class I construction appliances must be connected using a grounded plug.
2. CONSIGNES DE SÉCURITÉ IMPORTANTES
- Read these instructions.
- Keep these instructions.
- Heed all warnings.
- Follow all instructions.
- Do not use this apparatus near water.
- Clean only with a dry cloth.
- Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
- Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
- Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades, one wider than the other. A grounding-type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong is provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
- Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
- Only use attachments/accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
- Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods.
- For all servicing, consult qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
- Mains disconnection: Pressing the POWER switch (13) deactivates the amplifier's functions and indicators, but total disconnection of the apparatus is achieved by unplugging the power cord from the mains socket (11). This is why it must always be easily accessible.
- This apparatus must be earthed via its power cord.
- Some product labelling is located on the bottom of the product.
- This apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing, and no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the apparatus.
AVERTISSEMENT: This product must not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste. Go to the nearest electrical and electronic waste treatment center.

4. INTRODUCTION
The eMSP50T0T is a 2-way, 50 W pavillon musical speaker carefully selected for the most common 70/100 V line applications: announcements and background music. It offers great longevity and optimal reproduction of voice and music. Manufactured in reinforced ABS and IP66 certified, it is ideal for high-performance outdoor applications.
5. CARACTÉRISTIQUES PRINCIPALES
- Two-way pavillon speaker in water-resistant ABS
- 50 W RMS @ 8Ω
- Power settings:
- 100V: 50W / 25W / 12.5W / 9W / 4.5W / 3.5W / 8Ω
- 70V: 25W / 12.5W / 9W / 4.5W / 3.5W / 1.75W / 8Ω
- IP66 protection rating
- Terminal block connection
6. CONNEXION
The eMSP50Ti operates at high or low impedance. For this reason, it features a terminal block on its rear panel.
[Image of rear panel's power selector with tap settings]
TAP | @100V | @70V |
---|---|---|
1-2 | 50W | 25W |
2-3 | 25W | 12.5W |
3-4 | 12.5W | 9W |
1-3 | 9W | 4.5W |
2-4 | 4.5W | 3.5W |
1-4 | 3.5W | 1.75W |
1-5 | 8 ohm/50W | 8 ohm/50W |
Note: When the speaker is used in 70 V installations, the power ratings will be halved compared to those indicated on the selector for the 100 V position. For 50 V installations, the power will be a quarter.
Low impedance connection allows configuring the speakers to operate under these conditions with a maximum admissible power of 250 W. If this configuration is adopted, amplifier limitations must be considered when multiple speakers are connected to its output, especially if the total impedance drops below 4 Ω. It is also important that the connection cable between the amplifier outputs and the speakers is of good quality and as short as possible, especially when long distances need to be covered and the speaker impedance is low.
7. EMPLACEMENT ET MONTAGE
Note: The 70/100 V speaker distribution system is historically the result of technical imperatives for mixing speakers with different impedances and/or admissible powers on the same line or amplifier channel, without having to worry about the total impedance of the resulting assembly. Furthermore, this solution allows, with minimal power loss, the use of long cables with a significantly lower cross-section than that normally used in low impedance installations.
AVERTISSEMENT! If you accidentally connect the system to a low impedance amplifier with the switch set to 100 V/60 W, the speaker will not be damaged, but it will operate well below its normal performance level. However, if you accidentally connect the speaker to a 70/100 V line while its selector is set to 8 Ω, it will be seriously damaged.
As a general rule, the following points should be observed:
- Always install the unit on firm and solid surfaces.
- Ensure that the surface on which the speaker is to be installed can support its weight.
- Always use a safety sling to secure the speaker installation.
- For good sound reproduction, there should be no obstacle between the unit and the audience. High frequencies, unlike low frequencies, are highly directional, and any obstacle will result in an attenuation of their response.
