WARNING: SHOCK HAZARD - DO NOT OPEN

AVIS: RISQUE DE CHOC ÉLECTRIQUE - NE PAS OUVRIR

The lightning bolt symbol with an arrow inside an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of dangerous uninsulated voltage within the apparatus, and of a magnitude which may constitute a risk of electric shock to persons.

The exclamation mark symbol inside an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operation and maintenance instructions in the information accompanying the product.

WARNING: To prevent electric shocks or fire hazards, do not expose this equipment to rain or humidity.

WARNING: Class I construction apparatus must be connected via a plug with earth connection.

2. Important Safety Instructions ⚙️

  1. Read these instructions.
  2. Keep these instructions.
  3. Heed all warnings.
  4. Follow all instructions.
  5. Do not use this apparatus near water.
  6. Clean only with a dry cloth.
  7. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
  8. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
  9. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades, one wider than the other. A grounding-type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wider blade or the third prong are provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
  10. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
  11. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
  12. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
  13. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
  14. Mains disconnection: by switching off the POWER switch, all functions and indicators of the amplifier will stop, but complete disconnection of the apparatus is achieved by unplugging the mains cable from its connector. For this reason, it must always be easily accessible.
  15. The equipment is connected to an earthed socket-outlet via the power supply cord.
  16. Part of the product labeling is located on the base of the unit.
  17. This apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the apparatus.

WARNING: This product must not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste under any circumstances. Please take it to the nearest electrical and electronic waste treatment center.

4. Introduction

The eMSP50Ti is a 2-way, 50W sound projector, carefully selected for the most extended 70/100V applications: voice announcements and ambient music. It offers durability and optimal reproduction of voice and music. Manufactured in reinforced ABS and IP66 certified, it is ideal for high performance in outdoor environments.

5. Main Features

6. Connection ?

The eMSP50Ti allows for high or low impedance operation. It features a connection terminal block on the rear panel that allows you to configure its operating mode.

Figure 1: Rear panel power selector

POWER TAP @100V @70V
50W 1-2 50W 25W
25W 2-3 25W 12.5W
12.5W 3-4 12.5W 9W
9W 1-3 9W 4.5W
4.5W 2-4 4.5W 3.5W
3.5W 1-4 3.5W 1.75W
8Ω/50W 1-5 8 ohm/50W 8 ohm/50W

Note: When using the loudspeaker in 70V installations, the power ratings corresponding to the 100V position will be reduced by half. For 50V installations, they will be reduced to a quarter.

The low impedance connection allows configuring the loudspeakers to operate under these conditions, with a maximum power of 50W. If adopting this configuration, be aware of the amplifier's limitations when connecting multiple loudspeakers to its output, especially if the combined impedance drops below 4Ω. It is also important that the connection cable between the amplifier outputs and the loudspeakers is of good quality and as short as possible, as this is especially important when the distances to cover are large and the loudspeaker impedance is low.

Note: The 70/100V line loudspeaker distribution system historically arose from the technical need to mix loudspeakers of different impedances and/or power ratings on the same line or amplification channel, without needing to worry about the total impedance of the resulting set. Additionally, this solution allows for the use of long cable runs with minimal power loss and a significantly lower cross-section than typically used in low impedance installations.

ATTENTION! If you accidentally connect the system in 100V/50W position to a low impedance amplifier, it will not cause any damage to the loudspeaker, but it will perform far below its capabilities. If you accidentally connect the loudspeaker to a 70/100V network in the 8Ω position, it will be severely damaged.

7. Location and Mounting ?

As general rules, the following should be observed:

High frequencies, unlike bass frequencies, are extremely directional, and any obstacle causes an attenuation in their response.

8. Technical Specifications ?

eMSP50Ti

1 10dB below the sound pressure level at specified sensitivity

2 6dB below the sound pressure level than that at the direction of maximum level. Max. angle between 1 kHz and 4 kHz.

3 Measured on-axis, far field and referenced to 1 meter by inverse square law. Average from 100 Hz to 10 kHz.

4 Calculated from sensitivity and power handling specifications, exclusive of power compression
