This manual provides detailed instructions for using the TOZO NC9 Plus Active Noise Cancellation Earbuds.
1.0 Product Diagrammatic Sketch
The TOZO NC9 Plus earbuds consist of two earbuds and a charging case. Key components include:
- Charging Case: Features indications lights for charging status and a USB port for charging.
- Earbuds: Each earbud has an MFB (Multi-Function Button) touch panel, an outside noise cancelling microphone, an inward-facing noise cancelling microphone (Medial/Ear Canal), indications lights, and a call microphone.
2.0 Wearing Diagrammatic Sketch
The earbuds are designed to fit snugly in the ear. Proper wearing ensures optimal sound and noise cancellation performance.
3.0 Wearing Steps
- Step 1: Ensure the sound hole faces downward, then place the earbuds into your ear.
- Step 2: Rotate the earbud back towards the auricle side to fit snugly and securely.
Important: Wearing the sound hole upward is an incorrect way to wear the earbuds and may affect performance.
4.0 Operation of Earbuds
4.1 How to Pair
- Open the charging case. The earbuds will power on automatically and connect to each other within 10 seconds.
- The two earbuds will flash red and blue alternately, indicating pairing mode.
- Search for the pairing name "[TOZO-NC9 Plus]" on your device's Bluetooth settings and select it to connect.
4.2 Another Method of Turning On & Turning Off
- Turn On:
- Tap and hold the Touch Control on both earbuds for over 3 seconds.
- Turn Off (Playless Status):
- Touch the Control button for 5 seconds to turn off when earbuds are in playless status.
- Turn Off (Disconnected):
- The earbuds will turn off automatically after being disconnected for more than 5 minutes (Normal mode).
4.3 Reset
If you experience issues such as only one earbud working or failure to pair, follow these reset steps:
- Delete all "[TOZO-NC9 Plus]" records from your phone and turn off Bluetooth.
- Take the earbuds out from the charging case. Press the touch panel for 5 seconds on both earbuds to turn them off (red lights will turn on).
- Hold the MFB Touch Panel on each earbud for another 5 seconds until the blue light turns on and off. Then, quickly click the MFB Touch Panel on each earbud twice. The reset process is complete when the purple light turns on for 1 second, followed by both earbuds flashing red and blue alternately.
NOTE: In case of "Connection Unsuccessful" in your devices, delete all historical records of "[TOZO-NC9 Plus]" and retry the pairing process.
5.0 Switch Between Noise-Control Modes
Click the left earbud to switch between Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency mode. The Active Noise Cancellation function is not available when using a single earphone.
NOTE: If strong electromagnetic interference signals are present in your area, Bluetooth connection may be affected, causing the earbuds to be silent or disconnected. Reconnect or change the place of use.
6.0 Active Noise Cancellation Mode
With Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), an outward-facing microphone detects external sounds and the TOZO NC9 Plus earbuds counter them with anti-noise, cancelling external sounds before you hear them. An inward-facing microphone listens inside your ear for unwanted internal sounds, which the earbuds also counter with anti-noise.
7.0 Transparency Mode
Transparency mode enhances the voice frequency band and improves the perception of surrounding sound, allowing you to hear what's going on around you without taking off the earbuds. Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency mode work best when your TOZO NC9 Plus earbuds fit well and are worn correctly.
8.0 Active Noise Cancellation Off Mode
Active Noise Cancellation Off Mode is the default mode.
9.0 BOX Wireless Charging
Designed for modern life, the TOZO NC9 Plus charging case supports wireless charging, eliminating the need for headphone cables. Enjoy the convenience of wireless charging devices provided by airports, hotels, and café shops worldwide. (Wireless Charging Pad Not Included).
10.0 Detailed Function List
- Turn On (Manually):
- After the headset is in a close status, tap and hold the touch control for 3 seconds and release. The blue light will turn on. If the phone with the last connected memory is not found within 10 seconds, the earbuds enter pairing state (red and blue lights flash alternately).
- Open the charging case. Earbuds power on automatically and connect to each other within 10 seconds. If the phone with the last connected memory is not found within 10 seconds, the earbuds enter pairing state.
- Turn Off (Manually):
- Tap the Touch Control for 5 seconds in a non-playing status, then release. The red light will turn off after one second.
- Turn Off (Auto):
- Put the earbuds into the charging case and close the case. The earbuds will turn off automatically.
- Pairing Timeout:
- If the two earbuds are paired for more than 15 seconds and not successfully paired, they will enter mobile phone pairing state.
- Restore Factory Settings:
- If reset steps do not resolve an issue, restore to factory settings: 1. Pick up two earbuds from the charging case, then hold both earbud buttons for 5 seconds until red lights turn on to turn off earbuds. 2. Hold the MFB Touch Panel on each earbud for 5 seconds until blue light turns on and off, then click the MFB Touch Panel on each earbud 3 times quickly. The Restore Factory Settings process will be done when the red light appears. 3. Put earbuds into the charging case, then take them out to connect to records of "TOZO-NC9 Plus" on your phone.
NOTE: After Restore Factory Settings successfully, delete all connection records of "TOZO-NC9 Plus" on your phone, then research again.
- Turn On for Re-connection:
- 1. Tap the touch control for 3 seconds and release to turn on the earbuds. Wait a few seconds for the earbuds to automatically interconnect with each other, then wait a few seconds for the earbuds to connect with the paired phone. The connection is successful. 2. Open the charging case. Earbuds power on automatically and connect to each other automatically within 10 seconds. Wait a few seconds for the earbuds to connect with the paired phone. The connection is successful.
- Over Distance for Re-connection:
- If the headset is disconnected from the phone at a long distance, it can automatically reconnect when it returns to close distance with the phone within 5 minutes. After more than 5 minutes, the headset will automatically turn off.
- Phone Pairing:
- When the earbuds are turned off, tap and hold the touch control simultaneously for 5 seconds and release them to enter pairing mode (red/blue light flashes alternately). Then search for pairing name "TOZO-NC9 Plus" and select it in your mobile phone.
- 1. Take out the 2 headsets from the charging base. They will power on automatically and connect to each other automatically within 10 seconds. 2. The two earbuds flash red and blue alternately (Pairing mode). 3. Search for pairing name "TOZO-NC9 Plus" and select it in your mobile phone.
- Answer Phone Call:
- Tap the touch control once to answer an incoming call.
- Hang Up Phone Call:
- Tap and hold the Touch Control for 2 seconds to hang up the phone.
- Reject Incoming Call:
- Tap and hold the Touch Control for 2 seconds to reject an incoming call.
- Auto Turn Off:
- Automatically turn off after no connection for more than 5 minutes. After the headset is disconnected from the phone at a long distance, it will automatically turn off after more than 5 minutes (Normal mode).
- Cancel Dialing:
- Tap and hold the Touch Control for 2 seconds to cancel dialing before dialing out and if the other party fails to answer.

11.1 Left Earbud Controls
- Play/Pause:
- When playing music, tap the Right touch control once to pause/play (The left headset cannot switch to play/pause).
- Next Track:
- Double-Tap the Right Touch Control twice for backward when playing music.
- Previous Track:
- Double-Tap the Left Touch Control twice for previous when playing music.
- Volume +:
- Tap and hold the Touch Control on Right earbud when playing music.
- Volume -:
- Tap and hold the Touch Control on Left earbud when playing music.
- Voice Interaction of Siri:
- In standby mode, quickly tap the Touch control 3 times to turn on voice interaction of mobile phone.
- Primary / Secondary Switch Automatically:
- When listening to music, put either headset back into the charging case, and the other headset will not be affected.
- Turn On:
- Open the charging case, they will power on automatically it will turn on automatically. Tap the Touch Control 3 seconds for Turn On.
- Turn Off:
- Put back the charging case will turn off & charge automatically. Tap the Touch Control 5 seconds for turn off in not playing status. Automatically Turn Off after no connection for more than 5 minutes. (Normal mode)
- Previous Track:
- Tap the Left Touch Control twice for backward.
- Volume -:
- Tap and hold the Touch Control on Left earbud.
- Active Noise Cancellation Mode:
- Tap the Left Touch control Once.
- Transparent Mode:
- Tap the Left Touch control Once.
- Noise-control OFF:
- Put the earbuds into the charging case, it will automatically switch to Noise-control OFF when you take it out.
- Hang Up Phone Call:
- Tap and hold the Touch Control for 2 seconds on Left earbud.
- Reject Incoming Call:
- Tap and hold the Touch Control for 2 seconds on Left earbud.
- Cancel Phone Call:
- Tap and hold the Touch Control for 2 seconds on Left earbud.
11.2 Right Earbud Controls
- Turn On:
- Open the charging case, they will power on automatically it will turn on automatically. Tap the Touch Control 3 seconds for Turn On.
- Turn Off:
- Put back the charging case will turn off & charge automatically. Tap the Touch Control 5 seconds for turn off in not playing status. Automatically Turn Off after no connection for more than 5 minutes. (Normal mode)
- Next Track:
- Tap the Right Touch Control twice for backward.
- Volume +:
- Tap and hold the Touch Control on Right earbud.
- Play/Pause:
- Tap the Touch Control Button once on Right earbud.
- Answer Phone Call:
- Tap the Touch Control Button once on Right earbud.
- Hang Up Phone Call:
- Tap and hold the Touch Control for 2 seconds on Right earbud.
- Reject Incoming Call:
- Tap and hold the Touch Control for 2 seconds on Right earbud.
- Cancel Phone Call:
- Tap and hold the Touch Control for 2 seconds on Right earbud.
SPECIAL REMINDER
Wipe the hardware contacts of the headset and charging box when the headset is not charging.
