Fall Hazard
Babies can fall through a wide leg opening or out of the carrier. Always ensure:
- Leg openings are adjusted to fit baby’s legs snugly.
- All fasteners are secure before each use.
- Special care is taken when leaning or walking.
- Never bend at the waist; bend at the knees.
- The carrier is used only for babies between 7 lbs (3.2 kg) and 45 lbs (20.4 kg).
Suffocation Hazard
Babies under 4 months can suffocate if their face is pressed tight against your body. Always ensure:
- The baby is not strapped too tight against your body.
- There is room for head movement.
- The baby’s face is free from obstructions at all times.
- The baby does not sleep in the front outward-facing carry position.
- If nursing, reposition the baby after feeding so their face is not pressed against your body.
General Warnings
- Strangulation Hazard: Strings can cause strangulation. Only use pacifier loops with a pacifier holder that has a short cord or strap. Do not attach additional cords or straps and monitor baby closely.
- Baby must face towards you until they can hold their head upright.
- Only use the outward-facing carry position when the baby has demonstrated strong and consistent head and neck control.
- To prevent falling hazards, ensure the child is securely positioned.
- Constantly monitor your child and ensure mouth and nose are unobstructed.
- For pre-term, low birthweight babies, or children with medical conditions, seek advice from a health professional before use.
- Ensure the child’s chin is not resting on its chest, as breathing may be restricted, leading to suffocation.
- Your balance may be adversely affected by your movement and the child's movement. Take care when bending or leaning.
- This carrier is not suitable for sporting activities like running, cycling, swimming, and skiing.
