Ages and Stages - General Guidelines

Important: Always ensure your baby meets the specific requirements for each carrying position. Age guidelines are general.

Front Carry - Inward-Facing

• Min. Weight: 7 lbs / 3.2 kg
• Min. Height: 20 inches / 50.8 cm
• Max. Weight: 45 lbs / 20 kg
• Positioning: Baby's face towards the wearer until they can hold their head upright.
• Seat Adjustment: Use velcro tabs or buttons/sliders to adjust the seat width and height for the baby's comfort and proper hip positioning.
• Head Support: Adjust head and neck support based on baby's age and activity. For babies 0-4 months, support head at mid-ear level.
• Airway: Ensure baby's airway is open and face is visible at all times. Keep at least two fingers width clearance between baby's chin and chest.

Front Carry - Outward-Facing

• Min. Weight: 14 lbs / 6.4 kg
• Max. Weight: 30 lbs / 13.6 kg
• Positioning: Baby's face outward. Only use when baby has strong head and neck control.
• Seat Adjustment: Adjust seat using buttons or sliders.
• Straps: Can be worn in parallel 'H' or crisscross 'X' configurations.

Baby Positioning Checklist & Tips

• Proximity: Baby should be close enough to kiss.
• Spine: Baby's spine should be in a 'C' shape.
• Legs: Baby's thighs should be supported, with knees higher than hips, forming an 'M' shape.
• Straps: Shoulder straps should not be too loose or too tight.
• Head Support: Support baby's head until they have strong head and neck control.
• Airway: Always ensure an open airway and visible face.
