This guide outlines the steps for setting up a DoorBird IP Video Door Station in conjunction with a Dahua Network Video Recorder. Ensure both the Dahua NVR and the DoorBird IP Video Door Station are connected to the same local network and have IP addresses. Verify your DoorBird is online via https://www.doorbird.com/checkonline. The local IP address of your DoorBird can also be found on this page.

1. Setting Up the DoorBird IP Video Door Station
To ensure proper recognition by the Dahua Network Video Recorder, activate the "NVR" setting on the DoorBird IP Video Door Station.
- Open the DoorBird App and log into the administration area under "Settings → Administration" using the administrator credentials from your DoorBird's "DIGITAL PASSPORT" document.
- Locate the "External video service (NVR)" toggle under "DOORBIRD CONNECT" in the main menu and switch it ON.
2. Setting Up the Dahua Network Video Recorder
To utilize the DoorBird IP Video Door Station's camera feed, it must be added and configured within the Dahua Web Client.
- Ensure the Dahua Network Video Recorder is running and connected to your local network.
- Open the Dahua Web Client by entering the IP address of the Dahua Network Video Recorder into your web browser's address bar.
- Log into the Dahua Web Client using your administrator credentials for the Dahua Network Video Recorder.
- On the main screen, navigate to "SETTING" to access the settings menu.
The Dahua Web Client's 'CAMERA → REMOTE' screen displays the 'Device Search' function. A list of network devices is shown, with one entry (identified by IP address 192.168.123.29) checked and ready to be added. The 'Add' button is available.
- Navigate to "CAMERA → REMOTE". Click on "Device Search" to find available cameras. Locate the entry corresponding to your DoorBird IP Video Door Station's IP address, select its checkbox, and click "Add".
- The device will now appear in the list below the search results. Click the pen icon (✏️) next to the device to modify its settings.
- In the modification dialog, ensure "Manufacturer" is set to "ONVIF". Enter the "User Name" and "Password" associated with your DoorBird's App user, as found in the "DIGITAL PASSPORT" document. Save your settings by clicking "Save".
- After a short delay, the status icon for your DoorBird camera should update to indicate "Online". If it does not, re-verify that the "ONVIF" setting is active in your DoorBird App and that the App user credentials were entered correctly.
