This guide provides step-by-step instructions for setting up a DoorBird IP Video Door Station in conjunction with the Tiptel All-IP PBX Phone System. It is essential that both the Tiptel All-IP PBX Phone System and the DoorBird IP Video Door Station are connected to the same local network. Please ensure your DoorBird IP Video Door Station is online by visiting https://www.doorbird.com/checkonline. The local IP address for your DoorBird is also available on this page.

- Tiptel All-IP PBX Phone System: 6.4.12.784
1. Setting Up Tiptel All-IP PBX Phone System
- Connect to the Phonalisa web interface of your Tiptel All-IP PBX Phone System by typing its IP address into your web browser's address bar and logging in with your administrator credentials.
- Navigate to the admin settings by clicking "Admin" in the main menu. The interface displays navigation options including [Dashboard], [Addresses], [My Settings], [Admin], [Provisioning], [Routing], [System], and [Network].
- Within the "Users" section, click "+ Add new user".
- Create a username and extension for your DoorBird IP Video Door Station. This extension will be used to enable calls from your IP phone to the DoorBird. Optionally, select a user group from the "Group" dropdown menu. The "Password" and "PIN" fields can be modified from their initial values.
- Click "Save" to store these user settings.
- From the menu on the left, select "SIP-Accounts". A new SIP-Account will be created for your DoorBird IP Video Door Station, with the "SIP-Username" matching the extension previously set.
- Click the pencil icon [edit icon] to the far right of your DoorBird IP Video Door Station's SIP-account entry to review its settings.
- Note the displayed password. This password is required to register your DoorBird IP Video Door Station with your Tiptel All-IP PBX Phone System. You can also change this password within the displayed dialog.
- Click "Save" to store any changes or "Cancel" to exit without saving.
2. Setting Up the DoorBird IP Video Door Station
For the DoorBird IP Video Door Station to communicate effectively with the Tiptel All-IP PBX Phone System, its SIP settings must be adjusted accordingly.
- Open the DoorBird App and log into the administration area under "Settings → Administration". Use the administrator username and password credentials from the "DIGITAL PASSPORT" document that was shipped with your DoorBird IP Video Door Station.
- Select "SIP Settings" from the menu and activate the "SIP active" switch.
- Enter the IP address or URL of your Tiptel All-IP PBX Phone System into the "SIP Proxy" field. Set the "SIP User" and "SIP Password" to the credentials that were configured in STEP 1. The interface shows fields for "SIP Proxy", "SIP User", and "SIP Password", with a toggle for "SIP activated".
- Toggle the "DTMF" switch on and assign your chosen PIN numbers for the "Light PIN" and "Relay 1 PIN". The interface displays fields for "Light PIN" and "Relay 1 PIN", with example values such as 123 and 456.
- Toggle the "Allow incoming calls" switch on, then tap "Allowed SIP Users". On the following screen, tap "Add".
- Enter the following information:
5001@x.x.x.x
. In this format, 5001 is the SIP-Username of the IP phone or group you wish to allow calling your DoorBird IP Video Door Station, and x.x.x.x represents the IP address or URL of your Tiptel All-IP PBX Phone System. Confirm by tapping "OK". - Return to the main administration area and tap "SIP Calls", then tap "Add".
- In the subsequent screen, enter an arbitrary name in the "Name" field, for example, "Tiptel". For the "SIP-address", enter:
5001@x.x.x.x
. This represents the SIP-Username of the IP phone or group that will be called upon ringing, and x.x.x.x is the IP address or URL of your Tiptel All-IP PBX Phone System. The interface includes fields for "Name" and "SIP address", with example entries. - To ensure calls from the DoorBird IP Video Door Station are forwarded to the Tiptel All-IP PBX Phone System, a schedule for the doorbell must be set up. The specific steps depend on the DoorBird model:
- For devices with a single door chime (e.g., D10x, D20x, D2101V): Find the settings under "Schedule for doorbell". Tap the bell symbol [bell icon] in the upper left corner, choose "SIP call", and configure the schedule according to your requirements.
- For devices with multiple door chimes (e.g., D2102V, D2103V): In the administration area, navigate to "Key Configuration" within the settings menu. Select the appropriate button and tap "Schedule for actions". Tap the bell symbol [bell icon] in the upper left corner, choose "SIP call", and configure the schedule.
- For devices with a keypad (e.g., D21DKV): In the administration area, go to "Keypad" in the settings menu. Select the relevant key combination and proceed to "Schedule for actions". Tap the bell symbol [bell icon] in the upper left corner, choose "SIP call", and configure the schedule.
- Return to the main administration area and save the settings. Allow approximately five minutes for the new settings to be applied.
If the configuration is successful, the status of your DoorBird IP Video Door Station's entry in the "SIP-Accounts" section of the Phonalisa web interface should change from "N/a" to "Online". The interface displays a table with columns for "Status", "SIP-Username", "Last Contact", and "Expires", showing an example entry with "Online" status for user "5002".
