This guide details the setup process for integrating a DoorBird IP Video Door Station with a Vera Smart Home Controller. Ensure the Vera Smart Home Controller has an IP address and is on the same local network as your DoorBird. Verify your DoorBird is online at https://www.doorbird.com/checkonline. The local IP address for your DoorBird is also available on this page.

1. Setting Up the DoorBird IP Video Door Station
To ensure proper recognition by the Vera Smart Home Controller, activate the "Onvif" setting on your DoorBird IP Video Door Station.
- Open the DoorBird App and log into the administration area via "Settings → Administration" using the administrator credentials from your DoorBird's "DIGITAL PASSPORT" document.
- Navigate to the main menu, find the "DOORBIRD CONNECT" section, and switch the "Onvif" toggle to the ON position.
2. Setting Up the Vera Smart Home Controller
To utilize the DoorBird IP Video Door Station's camera feed, it must be added and configured within the Vera Smart Home Web Client.
- Confirm that your Vera Smart Home Controller is running and connected to your local network.
- Access the Vera Smart Home web client by visiting https://home.getvera.com and logging into your Vera Smart Home account.
- Select the Vera Smart Home Controller you wish to configure and click "Connect".
- After being redirected to your Vera Smart Home Controller's web client, select "Devices" from the left-hand menu and click "Add Device".
- From the list of devices, choose "Cameras → IP Camera".
- Proceed through the setup wizard until the final step, then click "Manually install the camera (advanced)".
- From the list of detected devices, select the one corresponding to your DoorBird IP Video Door Station's IP address. If it's not listed, click "Refresh list".
- Scroll down to "Manual Configuration". In the "Select camera type" drop-down menu, select “Other IP camera”.
- In the "Camera URL" field, enter the following:
http://x.x.x.x/bha-api/video.cgi
. Replacex.x.x.x
with your DoorBird IP Video Door Station's actual IP address. - Set the "Camera Username" to the App user found in your DoorBird's "DIGITAL PASSPORT" document (e.g., "user0001"). Enter the password associated with this App user into the "Camera Password" field.
- To verify the configuration, scroll down to "Test Your Camera Configuration" and click the "Test" button. A live image from your DoorBird IP Video Door Station should now be displayed.
- Enter a descriptive name for your camera in the "Camera Name" field and select a room for your IP Video Door Station from the "Room" drop-down menu.
- Click "Next" to complete the addition of the DoorBird IP Video Door Station to your Vera Smart Home Controller.
