Get Ready
- Know your Wi-Fi network name and password.
- Ensure your mobile device is running iOS 13.3 or higher and Android 9.0 or higher.
- Connect to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network (Lumary cannot connect to 5GHz networks).
Attention
- Handle the product carefully during transportation.
- Do not disassemble the fixture if you are not a professional.
- The fixture operates under AC high voltage and current. It should be installed where it cannot be easily touched. The connection must be completely sealed and earthed.
- The external flexible cable or cord of this luminaire cannot be replaced. If the cord is damaged, the luminaire shall be destroyed.
- The light source contained in this luminaire shall only be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or a similarly qualified person.
- The surface where the fixture is positioned must be firm enough to ensure safety.
- Ensure the voltage of the electricity system is within the fixture's working voltage range. Otherwise, the fixture's lifetime will be influenced.
- Installation and maintenance should be performed by a professional.
Installation
4" LED Floating Gimbal - Installation Instructions
Thank you for purchasing this Lumary lighting product. These instructions are designed to be easy to follow.
IMPORTANT: Read all instructions before installing fixtures. Retain for future reference.
SAFETY: For your safety, this fixture must be wired in accordance with local electrical codes and ordinances. All work should be done by a qualified electrician.
WARNING: Make certain power is OFF from the electrical panel before starting installation or attempting any maintenance. Indoor installation only.
Tools Required:
- Saw
- Measuring Tape
- Electrical Wiring (use type and gauge suitable for application to connect the fixtures)
Pre-Installation:
- Turn power OFF from the electrical panel before starting installation.
- Locate a suitable position to plate the fixture and open in accordance to the cut-hole dimensions (refer to Hole CutTable for appropriate size).
- Run electrical wire from the switch (power supply) through the mounting hole-use NMD90 Romex or BX cable.

Driver Wiring:
- Open the hardwire box swing cover and remove the appropriate knockout(s).
- Insert the electrical supply cable through the knockout and secure with a cable connector (sold separately).
- Using wire nuts, connect the green ground wire of the cable to the green wire on the box. Connect the white wire of the cable to the white wire of the box. Connect the black wire of the cable to the black wire of the box. (Refer to Fig. 1).
- Place all wiring and connections back into the box and close the cover.
- Insert the hardwire box through the mounting hole. (Refer to Fig. 2).
- For new construction applications: The hardwire box shall be firmly secured to studs, joists, or similar fixed structural units.
- For remodel applications: The hardwire box does not require to be firmly secured after the mounting plates, studs, joists, or structural units have been concealed.
- Junction box suitable for a maximum of 5 No 12 AWG or 8 No 14 AWG Conductors.
Fixture Installation:
- Connect the fixture to the hardwire box by inserting and twisting the male/female connectors. (Refer to Fig. 3).
- Push spring-loaded clips on the fixture upwards and insert the fixture base into the mounting hole. Release the clips, and the fixture will be pulled flush to the ceiling. (Refer to Fig. 4).
- Once assembly is complete, turn on power to confirm the fixture is working properly.

Application Connection
Install the "Lumary" APP
1. Find and install the "Lumary" app on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

2. Register a Lumary Account
Enter your mobile phone number or email address to register. Note: Please select your region and country correctly.

3. Connect: Easy Mode
STEP 1: Open the Lumary App. In the top corner of the Devices screen, click the '+' icon and select "Add Device".
STEP 2: Choose "Lighting" >> "Light Source(BLE+Wi-Fi)". Select "EZ Mode" in the upper right corner.
STEP 3: Make sure the indicator light is rapidly flashing white. If not, reset the device to reach Easy Mode and press "Next" in the App.
STEP 4: Enter your Wi-Fi network name and password. NOTE: Lumary cannot connect to 5GHz networks. If the connection fails, try connecting using AP Mode.

4. Connect: AP Mode
STEP 1: Open the Lumary App. In the top corner of the Home screen, click '+' and choose "Light Source(BLE+Wi-Fi)". Select "AP Mode" in the upper right corner.
STEP 2: Make sure the light is slowly flashing white. If not, reset to reach AP Mode.
STEP 3: Enter your Wi-Fi network and password.
STEP 4: Press "Next" and then "Go to Connect".
STEP 5: Follow the instructions to choose the device from your Wi-Fi list (e.g., "Lumary-XXXX").
STEP 6: The Lumary App will connect to your devices. NOTE: Lumary cannot connect to 5GHz networks. If the connection fails, try connecting using AP Mode.

5. Connect: Bluetooth
STEP 1: Open the Lumary App. In the top corner of the Devices screen, click '+'. Choose "Light Source(BLE+Wi-Fi)". Select "Bluetooth" in the upper right corner.
STEP 2: Make sure the light is rapidly flashing white. If not, reset to reach Easy Mode to connect. Press "Next" in the App.

Group Control
1. Log in to Lumary APP, tap the smart device and enter into its settings by clicking "..." in the top right corner.
2. Click "Create Group", then select a device and save.
3. You can reset the group name and save it. The group can then control devices.

FAQ
- What should I do if I don't have internet access to my Lumary product? If you do not have a network, you will need two mobile phones: one to set up a hotspot and the other to connect to the hotspot and add the device via the app (refer to the guide).
- If my Wi-Fi internet goes down, will Lumary App still work? Lumary products need to be connected to Wi-Fi to be used remotely. The device can also be controlled simply using the app via the LAN as well as Bluetooth (e.g., on, off, dimming, color temperature, colors).
- Why does flickering occur with Lumary products? Lumary's products are factory set to the default network configuration. If the device has not been connected to the network, it will flash for three minutes each time it is powered on. If the device is connected to the network, it will stop flashing and will automatically connect to the network when it is switched off and on via the wall switch after 15 seconds.
- Can I share with family and friends? Yes, you can share access to your Lumary devices. In the Lumary App, from your main device list, click on one of the devices, press the "..." button on the top right, and click on "Share Device" to give or revoke sharing permissions. The other user must have already downloaded the Lumary App and registered an account.
- Can I group multiple Lumary devices together? Yes, you can group multiple same-type devices by room, location, or however else you want. The same devices can be in multiple groups. From your main device list, click on one of the devices you want to group, press the "..." button on the top right for advanced settings, and click "Create Group". You'll be able to name a new group and choose which devices you'd like to group together.
- My Lumary device has a funny name. How do I rename it? From your main device list, click on one of the devices you want to rename, press the "..." button on the top right for advanced settings, and click "Modify Device Name" (or "Modify Group Name"). You'll then be able to choose a more familiar name.
- What's the wireless range? The range of your home Wi-Fi is heavily dependent on your home router and the conditions of the room. Check with your router specifications for exact range data.
- What should I do if the device appears offline or is unreachable? Make sure your Wi-Fi router is online and in range. Check that you have the latest Lumary functionality by clicking "Check for firmware update" in your device settings. Try turning off the device, clearing the application cache, rebooting the router, and then turning the device back on after one minute. Check the device status after five minutes.

- What should I do when I find a problem with the purchased product? Please email support@lumary.tech with your Amazon order ID. Lumary is dedicated to ensuring 100% satisfaction and will be happy to exchange the product if there is a problem.
How do I reset the device?
If the device is connected to the network, press and hold the control button for 5s; the indicator light will flash rapidly and enter the network state.
To reconnect to Wi-Fi:
- Easy Mode: Reset the device through the wall switch: on - off - on - off - on. The indicator will blink rapidly white.
- AP Mode: Reset again (press switch on - off - on - off - on). The indicator will blink slowly white.
Important Information
Troubleshooting
Can't connect to your Wi-Fi network: Make sure you entered the correct Wi-Fi password during setup. Check for any Internet connection problems. If the Wi-Fi signal is too weak, reset your Wi-Fi router and try again.
