Battery
If the display becomes dim or shows no illumination, replace the battery at an authorized CASIO dealer or distributor. The battery included with your watch is a test battery, and its service life may be shorter than the standard battery.
Water Resistance
Watches are classified by water resistance level (from Level I to Level V). Refer to the table below to determine the rules for using your watch.
Marking on Case | Splashes, Rain, Washing | Swimming, Washing | Skin Diving, Scuba Diving | Diving with Helium-Oxygen Mixture |
---|---|---|---|---|
I | No | No | No | No |
II WATER RESISTANT | Yes | No | No | No |
III 50M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | No | No |
IV 100M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
V 200M WATER RESISTANT / 300M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Notes for respective levels:
- Level I: The watch is not water-resistant. Avoid contact with any moisture.
- Level III: If the watch is exposed to saltwater, rinse it thoroughly with fresh water and dry it.
- Level IV: If the watch is exposed to saltwater, rinse it thoroughly with fresh water and dry it.
- Level V: The watch can be used for scuba diving (except for depths requiring helium-oxygen mixtures).
ATTENTION!!! For all watch categories, it is forbidden to:
- Press buttons underwater
- Adjust the crown underwater
- Unscrew the crown underwater
IMPORTANT!!!
Some water-resistant watches have leather straps. Do not wear these watches while swimming or engaging in any other activity where the strap may become submerged in water.
Care for Your Watch
- Replace the rubber gasket protecting the watch from water and dust every 2-3 years.
- If water enters the watch, have it checked immediately by an authorized CASIO dealer or distributor.
- Do not expose the watch to extremely high or low temperatures.
- While the watch is designed for normal use, avoid rough handling and dropping it.
- Do not wear the strap too tightly. A finger should fit between your wrist and the strap.
- Clean the watch and strap using a dry soft cloth, or a soft cloth dampened with a solution of mild neutral detergent and water. Never use volatile substances (e.g., gasoline, solvents, spray cleaners, etc.).
- When not using your watch, store it in a dry place.
- Avoid exposure to gasoline, cleaning solvents, spray aerosols, adhesives, paint, etc. Chemical reactions from these materials can damage gaskets, the case, and the watch's finish.
- Some watch straps feature silk-screened graphics. Be careful when cleaning these straps to avoid damaging the designs.
For Watches with Resin Straps...
- You may notice a white powdery substance on the strap. This substance is harmless to your skin or clothing and can be easily removed by wiping with a soft cloth.
- Exposure of the resin strap to sweat or moisture, or storing it in humid conditions, can lead to damage, breakage, or cracking. To ensure a long service life for the resin strap, wipe it clean of dirt and water with a soft cloth as often as possible.
For Watches with Fluorescent Cases and Straps...
- Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may cause the fluorescent coating to gradually fade.
- Prolonged contact with moisture can cause the fluorescent coating to gradually fade. If any moisture gets on the watch surface, wipe it off as soon as possible.
- Prolonged contact with a wet surface may cause the fluorescent coating to discolor. Ensure the fluorescent surface is dry and avoid contact with other surfaces.
- Strong friction of a surface with fluorescent paint against another surface may transfer the fluorescent paint to that surface.
CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. is not responsible for any damage or loss incurred by the purchaser or any third party arising from the use of this watch or its malfunction.
