Battery
The battery in your new watch is installed at the factory and should be replaced when it shows the first signs of insufficient power (e.g., backlight does not turn on, display is dim) by your nearest CASIO dealer or distributor.
Water Resistance
Watches are classified by rating (from I to V) according to their water resistance. Check your watch's rating using the table below for proper use.
Row/Marking on Case | Splash, Rain, etc. | Washing, Dishwashing | Swimming, Snorkeling | Scuba Diving |
I | No | No | No | No |
II WATER RESISTANT | Yes | No | No | No |

IV 100M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
V 200M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
300M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Notes for Sections:
- I: Watch is not water resistant. Avoid contact with any moisture.
- II: Do not pull out the crown if the watch is wet.
- III: Do not press watch buttons underwater.
- IV: If the watch is exposed to salt water, rinse it thoroughly and dry it.
- V: The watch can be used for scuba diving (except for depths requiring helium-oxygen mixtures).
Some water-resistant watches have leather straps. Do not wear these watches while swimming or engaging in other activities where the strap may get wet.
Care Instructions
Caring for Your Watch:
- Never attempt to open the case or remove the back cover.
- The rubber gasket that protects the watch from water and dust should be replaced every 2-3 years.
- If moisture gets inside the watch, have it checked immediately by your nearest CASIO dealer or distributor.
- Do not expose the watch to extreme temperatures.
- Although the watch is designed for normal use, avoid rough handling and do not drop it.
- Do not fasten the strap too tightly. A finger should fit between your wrist and the strap.
- To clean the watch and strap, use a dry soft cloth or a soft cloth dampened with an aqueous solution of mild neutral detergent. Never use volatile agents (such as gasoline, solvents, spray cleaners, etc.).
- When not using your watch, store it in a dry place.
- Avoid contact with gasoline, cleaning solvents, spray aerosols, adhesives, paint, etc. Chemical reactions caused by these materials can damage gaskets, the case, and the watch's polish.
- Some watch models feature silk-screened graphics on their straps. Be careful when cleaning such straps to avoid damaging these designs.
For watches with resin straps:
- You may notice a white powdery substance on the strap. This substance is harmless to your skin or clothing and can be easily removed by wiping with a cloth.
- Sweat or moisture on a resin strap, or storing it in high humidity conditions, can damage, break, or crack the strap. To ensure a long life for the resin strap, wipe off sweat and moisture with a soft cloth whenever possible.
For watches with fluorescent cases and straps:
- Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade.
- Prolonged contact with moisture may cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade. Wipe off any moisture from the watch surface as soon as possible.
- Prolonged contact with any other wet surface may cause the fluorescent color to fade. Ensure the fluorescent surface is dry and avoid contact with other surfaces.
- Rubbing a surface with fluorescent paint against another surface may transfer the fluorescent paint to that surface.
