Timex W-91 Watch

Model: W-91, Part No: 921-095016 AS

Welcome

Thank you for purchasing your Timex® watch. Please read these instructions carefully to understand how to operate your Timex® watch. Your model may not have all of the features described in this booklet.

Basic Operations

This section describes the basic functions and controls of your Timex watch.

Watch Components:

  • Crown: Used for setting time, date, and activating features. It has multiple positions: 'A' (normal), 'B' (time zone/calendar adjustment), 'C' (time setting), and 'D' (INDIGLO/NIGHT-MODE activation).
  • Pusher "A": Primarily used for starting and stopping the chronograph.
  • Pusher "B": Primarily used for resetting the chronograph or splitting time.

Dial Indicators:

  • The dial at the 6 o'clock position shows the watch's seconds.
  • The sub-dial at the 10 o'clock position shows minutes elapsed for the chronograph.
  • The sub-dial at the 2 o'clock position shows 1/20th seconds elapsed for the chronograph.
  • The central chronograph second hand shows seconds elapsed for the chronograph.

Setting the Time:

  1. Pull the crown out to the "C" position.
  2. Turn the crown in either direction to set the correct time.
  3. Push the crown back in to the "A" position.

Adjusting to a New Time Zone:

  1. Pull the crown out to the "B" position.
  2. Turn the crown in either direction to move the hour hand in hour increments.

Setting the Calendar:

  1. Pull the crown out to the "B" position.
  2. Turn the crown in either direction to move the hour hand. Two complete revolutions of the hour hand (relative to the 12 o'clock position) will advance the date forward or backward. This action also corrects the 24-hour time display.
  3. Push the crown back in to the "A" position.

? Note: The date changes automatically every 24 hours.

Chronograph

The chronograph function allows you to measure elapsed time.

Chronograph Capabilities:

  • Measures 1/20th seconds elapsed, up to 1 second (indicated by the 2 o'clock sub-dial).
  • Measures seconds elapsed, up to 1 minute (indicated by the chronograph second hand).
  • Measures minutes elapsed, up to 30 minutes (indicated by the 10 o'clock sub-dial).

? Note: The chronograph can operate continuously for up to 4 hours before automatically stopping and resetting. The 1/20th second hand only indicates elapsed time when the chronograph is stopped and not yet reset.

Adjusting Chronograph Hands to Zero Position:

Before using the chronograph, ensure all chronograph hands are aligned to the "0" or 12-hour positions.

  1. Pull the crown out to the "B" position.
  2. Press Pusher "B" until the hand at the 10 o'clock sub-dial resets to the "30" position.
  3. Pull the crown out to the "C" position.
  4. Press Pusher "A" until the chronograph second hand resets to the "0" or "60" (12-hour) position.
  5. Press Pusher "B" until the hand at the 2 o'clock sub-dial resets to the "0" position.
  6. Push the crown back in to the "A" position.

? Notes:

  • Ensure the chronograph is stopped and reset before making adjustments.
  • Pressing and holding either Pusher "A" or "B" for 2 seconds will cause the respective hands to move continuously until the pusher is released.

Chronograph Operation:

Standard Measurement:

  1. Press Pusher "A" to start timing.
  2. Press Pusher "A" to stop timing.
  3. Press Pusher "B" to reset the chronograph hands to zero.

Split Time Measurement:

  2. Press Pusher "B" to split the time (freeze the display while timing continues).
  3. Press Pusher "B" again to resume timing.
  4. Press Pusher "A" to stop the overall timing.
  5. Press Pusher "B" to reset the chronograph hands to zero.

INDIGLO® Night-Light & NIGHT-MODE®

INDIGLO® Night-Light:

With the crown in the "A" position, push the crown to the "D" position. The entire dial will be illuminated. This feature uses patented electroluminescent technology to illuminate the watch face in low light conditions.

NIGHT-MODE® Feature:

  1. To activate NIGHT-MODE®, push and hold the crown to the "D" position for 4 seconds.
  2. Once activated, pressing any pusher will cause the INDIGLO® night-light to stay on for 3 seconds.
  3. The NIGHT-MODE® feature will remain active for 8 hours.
  4. To deactivate NIGHT-MODE®, push and hold the crown to the "D" position for 4 seconds.
