二、按键功能 ?️ Printer Button
This section describes the buttons and indicators on the printer.

三、如何开机 ▶️ Power On the Printer
Follow these steps to power on your label printer.
Step 1: Connect the power cable to the power adapter. Then, plug the adapter into the printer's power port, and the other end into an electrical socket.

Step 2: Plug one end of the USB cable into the printer's USB port and the other end into your computer. If you are using a Mac, you may need the included Type-C adapter.

Step 3: Power on the printer using the power button.
四、如何安装标签 ?️ Installation of Label Roll
⚠️ CAUTION: Only genuine MakeID labels can be used in this printer. Genuine MakeID labels are detected by a label recognition function, allowing the MakeID PC editor software to receive label information, such as the type of label being used.
Step 1: Take out the label roll.

Step 3: Push aside the label clippers and put in the label roll with the printable side facing up.

Step 4: To hold the label roll in place, ensure the clipper tabs are threaded through the center of the roll.

⚠️ CAUTION:
- The printable side should face up.
- Pull the label out to the exit slot.
- Ensure the clipper tabs are threaded through the center of the roll to hold it in place.
五、如何使用打印软件 ? Use of Printing Software
Step 1: Please ensure that the previous steps (label installation) are completed correctly in accordance with the user manual.
Step 2: Visit https://www.makeid.com to download and install the latest version of the MakeID label printer software, which is exclusively designed for desktop PCs.

Step 3: Double-click the software installation package and follow the on-screen installation guide to complete the installation of the desktop printing software.

七、故障指示 ❗ Malfunction Indication
Indicator Description | Possible Reason | Troubleshooting |

⚠️ Precautions
- Do not disassemble the printer or power adapter to avoid possible electrocution, mechanical injury, or damage to printer components.
- If the printer or power adapter shows abnormalities like smoke or unusual odor, unplug it immediately to avoid burns.
- Do not touch the print head immediately after continuous printing or when the printer just finished printing, as it is still hot.
- Do not use poor-quality labels (non-genuine labels) as this may damage the print head and shorten its life. Damages caused by poor-quality labels are not covered by warranty.
- Do not touch the print head or electronic components to prevent static electricity damage.
- Unplug the printer if it will not be used for a long period.
- Do not press or hit the printer, as this may cause damage or malfunctions.
- If the printer is soaked in water or damaged, stop using it and have it repaired immediately.
- It is recommended to use the printer within a temperature range of 5°C ~ 35°C and humidity of 20% ~ 90% for optimal performance and to prevent print head damage.
- If there is a large temperature difference between indoors and outdoors, allow the printer to acclimate to room temperature before use to prevent condensation.
- For optimal print quality and print head longevity, it is recommended not to print more than 2 meters continuously in one go, and a total daily printing length not exceeding 150 meters.
- Do not scratch the print head with hard objects. Damages from improper maintenance are not covered by warranty.
❗ WARNING: The print head is a fragile component. Pay attention to the following to avoid corrosion:
- Do not touch the print head surface with your hands.
- Do not use thermal labels containing sodium (Na), potassium (K), or chloride (Cl) ions.
- Avoid contact between the print head and any liquids or wet objects.
- Clean the print head only with anhydrous alcohol.
- Do not pull the label while the printer is working.
- Do not use non-MakeID official labels.

- WARNING: Do not touch the print head or its surrounding components during or just after printing, as the print head is a heat-generating component.
- WARNING: Do not touch the print head surface or the connection plug-ins to avoid causing damage to the print head due to static electricity.

- Install the printer on a flat, stable surface.
- Ensure adequate space around the printer for operation and maintenance. Keep it away from water sources.
- Do not use or store the printer in high-temperature, high-humidity, or heavily polluted areas. Avoid direct sunlight, bright lights, and heat sources. Do not place it in areas subject to vibration or shock.
- Avoid condensation on the printer surface due to humid air. If condensation forms, do not power on the printer until it has disappeared.
- Connect the printer's power adapter to a properly grounded outlet. Avoid using the same outlet as large motors or devices that cause voltage fluctuations.
- Avoid water or conductive materials (e.g., metals) from entering the printer. If this occurs, power off the printer immediately.
- The printer must not be operated without labels; otherwise, the roller and print head will be seriously damaged.
- Ensure the printer is powered off when connecting or disconnecting any ports to avoid damage to control circuits.
- Do not self-disassemble the printer for maintenance or repair.
- Keep this manual for your reference.
使用电源适配器注意事项 ⚡ Precaution when Using Power Adapter
- Do not use damaged or worn-out power cables, as they might cause electrocution or fires.
- Do not touch the power adapter, plug, or output terminal with wet hands to prevent electrocution.
- Do not excessively bend or forcefully pull the power cable, nor place heavy objects on it, as this may damage the cable and cause electrocution or fires.
- When unplugging, hold the plug part, not the cable, to avoid damage and potential electrocution or fires.
- Please use the original MakeID power adapter. Using a non-original adapter may result in printer burnout or operator injury, which is not covered by the warranty.
- Keep the power adapter away from children to avoid danger.
- Always power off the printer before maintenance or repair to avoid danger.
保修说明 ? Warranty
MakeID provides a one-year warranty.
You are entitled to a one-year warranty from the date of purchase for quality and function issues. MakeID will provide free repair services.
- For repairs or replacements within the warranty period, provide your order number, contact information, and delivery details (name, phone number, full address).
- Products returned to MakeID must be fully packaged. MakeID is not responsible for loss or damage during shipping by the customer.
- Product must be operated strictly according to the provided instructions. MakeID is not responsible for issues caused by accidents, misuse, modification, or negligence.
- The MakeID label printer is designed exclusively for MakeID labels. Malfunctions or damages caused by using other manufacturers' labels are not covered by the warranty.
- This warranty does not affect your legal rights as a consumer.
