Instructions for installing the IKEA SKINANDE RENGÖRA LAGAN front system with the METOD kitchen cabinet, detailing steps, safety precautions, and required components.

Required Tools and Components
Gather the following tools and components before beginning:

- Screwdrivers
- Tape measure
- Pliers
- Spirit level
- Drill
- Scissors
- Gloves
- 8 mm drill bit
Ensure all hardware parts (screws A, B, C, D; brackets; fittings; tape; washers; clips) are present as per the parts list.
Installation Process
Step 1: Unit Placement and Dimensions
Position the main cabinet structure. The unit to be installed requires specific clearances:
- Cabinet height: 840 mm to 900 mm
- Unit dimensions: Approximately 555 mm width, 818 mm to 898 mm height, 596 mm depth.
- Clearance from adjacent units/walls: 150 mm, 40 mm
- Minimum floor clearance: 600 mm
Connect any necessary internal cables or hoses as indicated.
Step 2: Securing the Unit
Attach the unit to the adjacent cabinet structure using screws labeled 'B' and 'D' (Torx T20). Ensure correct alignment.
Step 3: Mounting Brackets
Attach the provided mounting brackets to the unit and the surrounding cabinet frame. Confirm secure attachment, often indicated by a "CLICK!" sound.
Step 4: Attaching Side Panels
Install the side panels onto the main unit structure.
Step 5: Inserting Decorative Strips
Insert decorative strips into the designated channels or slots on the unit.
Step 6: Back Panel Installation
Use the provided tape and screws (6x) to attach the back panel to the rear of the unit. Ensure it is firmly secured.
Step 7: Lifting and Positioning
With assistance, carefully lift the unit and place it into its final position. Wearing gloves is recommended for a secure grip.
Step 8: Adjusting the Feet
Use screws labeled 'D' to adjust the unit's feet. This allows for leveling the unit and ensuring it is stable on the floor.
Step 9: Attaching the Top Panel
Secure the top panel or worktop to the unit. Ensure it is properly aligned and fastened.
Step 10: Attaching Front Panels (Doors/Drawers)
For SKINANDE RENGÖRA LAGAN METOD fronts (max. 800 mm height):
Follow the specific instructions for attaching these front panels. This typically involves using hardware such as screws 'A' and 'D'. Refer to step 12 for detailed attachment.
For VOXTORP fronts (max. 825 mm height):
Follow the specific instructions for attaching VOXTORP front panels. This typically involves using hardware such as screws 'A' and 'D'. Refer to step 15 for detailed attachment.
Step 11: Hinge and Bracket Installation
Attach hinges or mounting brackets (labeled A, D, B) to the front panels or the unit as required for the operation of doors or drawers.
Step 12: Final Front Panel Attachment
Attach the prepared front panels to the unit. Aim for a "Perfect Fit" and secure them using the appropriate hardware.
Step 13: Connecting to Adjacent Cabinets
Secure the unit to any adjacent kitchen cabinets using the provided connectors and screws (2x).
Step 14: Securing and Accessories
Ensure the unit is firmly secured to prevent tipping. Attach any accessories, such as a waste bin, as shown in the diagrams.
Step 15: Final Positioning and Leveling
Carefully slide the unit into its final position, maintaining a 2 mm gap from the front edge of adjacent cabinets. Ensure the unit is perfectly level and flush with the worktop (0 mm gap).
Important: Always secure the unit to prevent tipping hazards. Follow all safety guidelines.
Step 16: Water and Drain Connections
Connect the water inlet hose and the drain hose according to the specified lengths and configurations:
- Water inlet hose lengths: 90 cm, 140 cm, 150 cm
- Drain hose: Must be positioned with a minimum height of 40 cm from the floor.
Step 17: Water Inlet Connection Details
Connect the water inlet hose to the water tap. Ensure the tap thread is compatible (e.g., 3/4" or 1/2"). The recommended water pressure range is 0.3-10 bar.
Step 18: Final Adjustments and Alignment
Make any necessary final adjustments to the unit's alignment, doors, or drawers to ensure smooth operation and a neat, integrated appearance.
Step 19: Door/Drawer Alignment Check
Adjust doors or drawers for precise alignment. They should open and close smoothly and sit flush with surrounding kitchen units.
Step 20: Final Inspection
Conduct a final inspection of all connections, fittings, and the overall stability of the installed unit. Ensure all screws are tightened.
