Installation Overview
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the IKEA MATMÄSSIG induction hob.
Preparation and Tools
Ensure you have the necessary tools and materials before starting. This may include:

Dimensions and Cutout Requirements
Proper dimensions are crucial for safe and correct installation. Refer to the following:
- Minimum clearance above the hob: 500 mm
- Hob width: 590 mm
- Hob depth: 520 mm
- Required countertop cutout width: 560±1 mm
- Required countertop cutout depth: 490±1 mm
- Front edge clearance from hob: 55 mm
- Back edge clearance from hob: 5 mm
- Minimum clearance from the underside of the countertop to the hob: 12 mm
- Minimum clearance from the front edge of the hob to the cabinet front: 20 mm (for installation into cabinets without an oven)
- Minimum clearance from the front edge of the hob to the cabinet front: 28 mm (for installation above an oven)
- Minimum side clearance to cabinet: 50 mm
Installation Steps
Step 1: Mark the Cutout
Using a pencil and measuring tape, mark the precise cutout dimensions on the countertop. Drill pilot holes (4x Ø 10 mm) at the corners of the marked area to facilitate cutting.
Step 2: Cut the Opening
Use a jigsaw (?) to carefully cut along the marked lines, creating the opening for the induction hob.
Step 3: Install the Hob
Carefully lower the MATMÄSSIG induction hob into the prepared cutout. The hob is designed to click securely into place.

Step 4: Final Placement and Clearances
Ensure all required clearances are maintained as specified in the dimensions section. This includes clearances from surrounding cabinets, ovens, and the underside of the countertop.
The hob should sit flush with the countertop, with appropriate support and ventilation.
