General Information

• Compatible with R-32 VRF air, water, and mini systems.
• The indoor unit features an integral condensate pump with a maximum 29" lift from the bottom of the unit. It includes a check valve and float switch that disables the indoor unit in the event of condensate overflow.
• The indoor unit includes a built-in Wi-Fi adapter as standard, enabling control and monitoring using the Samsung SmartThings app.

Refrigerant System

• The heat exchanger is constructed with mechanically bonded aluminum fins to copper tubes.
• Refrigerant flow is controlled by an electronic expansion valve located at the indoor unit.
• The indoor unit includes an R32 alarm output plug for simple notification or interlock of third-party equipment upon R32 leak detection (requires VSTAT10P-1 accessory).

Indoor Fan

• Features smart pressure control that adjusts fan speed based on ESP, delivering consistent heating and cooling power.
• The indoor unit has a smart-tuning function that provides optimized comfort by allowing the occupant to adjust the fan CFM curve to increase or decrease airflow.
• The indoor unit includes automatic air volume scanning for simple setup and optimized comfort settings for the occupant.

Controls

• Control wiring requires 2 x 16 AWG wire.
• The unit is operated via a wired remote controller, model VSTAT04P-1, which must be purchased separately.
• Supports dual set temperature functionality when connected to supported controllers.
• Wired or wireless controllers must be purchased separately.

External Heat Control

• External heat control functionality allows for configuration of fan operation during auxiliary heat, defrost, and emergency heat operations (requires VSTAT10P-1 accessory).
• External heat control configuration settings include: outside ambient external heat lockout, outside ambient compressor lockout, and time delay options (requires VSTAT10P-1 accessory).
• Emergency heat functionality enables the system to continue controlling the external heat source even when system errors prevent the heat pump from operating (requires VSTAT10P-1 accessory).

Convenience

• Features an Emergency Temperature Output (ETO) function: when the indoor unit is in an error status or when room temperature exceeds a configurable temperature level, the system outputs a signal to an external source, such as a backup system, building management system, or alert device (e.g., status light, warning lamp, buzzer).
