Construction
Constructed from insulated, galvanized steel.
Refrigerant System
- Heat exchanger: Mechanically bonded aluminum fin to copper tube.
- Refrigerant flow controlled by an electronic expansion valve at the indoor unit.
- Includes an R32 alarm output plug for notification or interlock of third-party equipment upon R32 leak detection (VSTAT10P-1 accessory required).
Indoor Fan
- Offers three fan speeds and an auto setting.
Controls
- Control wiring: 2 x 16 AWG wire.
- Operated via a wired remote controller model VSTAT04P-1 (purchased separately).
- Supports dual set temperature when connected to compatible controllers.
- Wired or wireless controllers must be purchased separately.
External Heat Control
- Allows configuration of fan operation during auxiliary heat, defrost, and emergency heat (VSTAT10P-1 accessory required for heating devices other than V1EHK0*-1P electric heat kits).
- Configuration settings include outside ambient external heat lockout, outside ambient compressor lockout, and time delay options (VSTAT10P-1 accessory required for heating devices other than V1EHK0*-1P electric heat kits).
- Emergency heat functionality ensures the system continues controlling the external heat source even when system errors prevent the heat pump from operating (VSTAT10P-1 accessory required for heating devices other than V1EHK0*-1P electric heat kits).
Convenience
- Emergency Temperature Output (ETO) function: Signals an external source (e.g., backup system, building management system, alert device) when the indoor unit is in an error status or room temperature exceeds a configurable level.
