General Information

Refrigerant System
- The heat exchanger features a mechanically bonded aluminum fin to copper tube design.
- Refrigerant flow is controlled by an electronic expansion valve at the indoor unit.
- The indoor unit includes an R32 alarm output plug for simple notification or interlock of third-party equipment upon R32 leak detection (VSTAT10P-1 accessory required).
Indoor Fan
- Features Smart pressure control that adjusts fan speed based on ESP, delivering consistent heating and cooling power.
- Includes a smart-tuning function for optimized comfort, allowing users to adjust the fan CFM curve to increase or decrease airflow.
- Equipped with automatic air volume scanning for simple setup and optimized comfort settings for the occupant.
Controls
- Control wiring utilizes 2 X 16 AWG wire.
- The unit is operated via a wired remote controller, model VSTAT04P-1 (purchased separately).
- Supports dual set temperature when connected to supported controllers.
- Wired or wireless controllers must be purchased separately.
External Heat Control
- Provides external heat control functionality for configuring fan operation during auxiliary heat, defrost, and emergency heat modes (VSTAT10P-1 accessory required).
- Configuration settings include outside ambient external heat lockout, outside ambient compressor lockout, and time delay options (VSTAT10P-1 accessory required).
- Emergency heat functionality ensures the system continues controlling the external heat source even when system errors prevent the heat pump from operating (VSTAT10P-1 accessory required).
Convenience
- Features an Emergency Temperature Output (ETO) function: when the indoor unit is in an error status or when room temperature exceeds a configurable level, the system outputs a signal to an external source (e.g., backup system, building management system, alert device like a status light, warning lamp, or buzzer).
