Controls
The control panel of the Minelab X-TERRA INTREPID features the following:
- 1. POWER ON/OFF (?): Button to turn the device on or off.
- 2. MINUS (-) / PLUS (+): Buttons used for adjusting settings, typically decreasing or increasing values.
- 3. PINPOINT (?): Button used to precisely locate the center of a detected target.
- 4. VOLUME ADJUST: Controls for adjusting the audio output volume.
- 5. SEARCH MODE: Button to select different search modes for various detection scenarios.
Quick Start
Follow these steps to begin using your detector:
- 1. TURN ON (?): Press the Power On/Off button to activate the detector.
- 2. WAIT (5 sec) (⏱️): Allow the detector to initialize for approximately 5 seconds.
- 3. BEGIN DETECTING (?♂️): Once initialized, you can start your search.
Assembly
Assemble the Minelab X-TERRA INTREPID as follows:
- Connect the shaft sections (parts 2, 11, 3) to form the main shaft.
- Attach the control handle (5) and armrest (10) to the upper shaft (11).
- Mount the search coil (9) to the lower shaft (3) using the coil mount (4).
- Connect the search coil cable (8) to the control box (1).
- Insert batteries (parts 13, 14, 15) into the battery compartment (7) and secure with the cover (6).
Refer to the diagrams for precise connection points and part orientation.
Safety Precautions (⚠️)
- Temperature: Do not expose the detector to extreme temperature conditions. The storage temperature range is from -20°C to +70°C (-4°F to +158°F).
- Water/Moisture: Do not expose accessories not listed as waterproof to liquid, moisture, or excessive humidity.
- Children: Do not allow children to play with the detector or accessories; small parts are a choking hazard.
- Battery Disposal (♻️): Dispose of batteries according to local regulations.
