Quick Start

Follow these simple steps to begin your metal detecting journey:

1. Turn On

   Press the power button [⚡] to switch on your detector.

2. Select Search Mode

   Choose the appropriate search mode for your environment:

   • Park: For general use in parks.
   • Field: For general use in fields.
   • Beach: For use on beaches, including wet and dry sand.
   • Fine Jewellery: For detecting small, delicate items.
   • Coin/Relic: For finding coins and historical artifacts.
   • Fine Coin/Relic: Optimized for smaller coins and relics.
   • Wet/Dry Sand: Specific settings for beach conditions.
   • Underwater/Surf: For use in shallow water and surf zones.

3. Noise Cancelling

   Adjust settings to cancel out electromagnetic interference for optimal performance.

4. Go Detecting

   Start swinging the detector coil over the ground to begin your search.

Assembly

Assemble your Minelab X-TERRA ELITE detector by following these steps:

1. Connect the lower shaft to the coil.
2. Attach the middle shaft to the lower shaft.
3. Connect the control box to the middle shaft.
4. Secure all shaft sections.
5. Ensure the coil cable is wrapped around the shaft and connected to the control box.
6. Adjust the shaft length for comfortable use.
7. Attach the armrest.
8. Ensure all connections are firm and secure.

Controls & Display

Familiarize yourself with the detector's controls and display:

Charging
