Installation Instructions
Method 1: With Bumper Removal
- Temporarily remove the plastic panel from the underside of the vehicle (requires 3 large nuts).
- Remove the rear bumper:
- Two torx head screws on the top edge.
- Four large nuts underneath.
- Three screws in the wheel arch liner (each side).
- Two screws at the tips behind the wheel arch liner (top, each side).
- One clip on the top edge of the tips (each side).
- Lower the exhaust and temporarily remove the heat shield.
- Locate the two existing holes in the side of each chassis member. Using item E (bolts/washers) with item G (washers) and item C (spacer tubes) placed inside the existing holes, loosely bolt item B (side arms) to the inside face of each chassis member. Ensure bolts locate into the provided slots.
- Using item F (bolts/washers) with item H (washers), loosely bolt item A (crossmember) to the two existing holes in the rear panel and to item B through the lower holes.
- Fully tighten all nuts and bolts to ensure the towbar is rigid and secure.
- Cut a slot in the front edge of the bumper extension: 60mm wide x 230mm deep (refer to diagram for placement).
- Re-install the heat shield, exhaust, and re-fit the bumper and plastic panel.
- Using item D (bolts/washers), attach the ball bracket and wiring plate (not supplied in this kit) to the mounting plate.
This Towbar can be fitted without removing the bumper.
Method 2: Without Bumper Removal
- Temporarily remove the plastic panel from the underside of the vehicle (requires three large nuts).
- Remove the plastic bumper extension (requires four large nuts). Cut a slot in the front edge of the bumper extension: 60mm wide x 230mm deep (refer to diagram for placement).
- Remove the heat shield.
- Fit Towbar as per main instruction sheet. Fully tighten all nuts and bolts from underneath.
- Replace heat shield, plastic panel, and bumper extension.

Notes
- Recommended Torque Setting for M12 Grade 10.9 bolts is 139 Nm. (Refer to other notes overleaf for different torque settings).
- Nose load limits and vehicle manufacturer's trailer/caravan weight limits must be observed.
