Diagram Description
The diagram illustrates the assembly of the towbar for a Ford Focus. It shows the main towbar crossmember (Item A) which attaches to the vehicle's chassis. An extension bar (Item B) connects to the crossmember. Clamp plates (Item C) are used in conjunction with bolts, nuts, and washers (Items D, E, F) to secure the crossmember to the chassis. The diagram also depicts the ball mount and wiring plate attachment point, secured by bolts (Item D). Various fasteners like bolts (D), nuts and washers (E), flat washers (F), and bolt caps (G) are shown separately, indicating their usage in the assembly steps.
Note: Nose load limits and vehicle manufacturers' trailer / caravan weight limits must be observed.
