User Manual

Device Overview

Main Display: Shows source name, clock, music information, RDS indicator, and extreme bass indicator.

Controls:

SRC: Selects available sources (Radio, BT Audio, USB, SD Card, AUX).
Volume Knob: Adjusts volume.
Band/Seek Buttons: Navigates radio bands, seeks stations, or plays/pauses media.
Numeric Buttons: Selects preset stations, accesses media functions, or stores stations.
INFO Button: Displays clock or source information, RDS data, or ID3 tags.
ZONE/XBS Button: Controls audio zones and XBass function.
Setup Button: Accesses the setup menu for various settings.
i-Headset/Speaker Switch Button: Switches between headset and speaker output during calls.

Bluetooth Device Operation

Pairing:

Search for Bluetooth devices on your phone.
Select "GRUNDIG" from the list.
Enter the default password "0000" and confirm.
A successful pairing will display "[PAIRED]".

Making Calls:

Dial numbers using your mobile phone. The number and "[CALL ---" will appear on the display.
During a call, press the button to answer or end the call.
Press the i-Headset/Speaker Switch Button to toggle between headset and speaker output.
Press and hold the i-Headset/Speaker Switch Button to transfer the call audio back to your phone for privacy.

Receiving Calls:

Incoming call numbers or "[PHONE IN]" will be displayed.
Press the button to answer the call.
Press the button to end the call.

Bluetooth Audio Streaming (A2DP):

Select "BT AUDIO" using the SRC button.
Press the play/pause button to start or pause playback.
Use the seek buttons (>>I/I<<) to navigate tracks.
Press the INFO button to view track information.

Setup Menu

Press and hold the Setup button to enter the setup menu. Use the volume knob to select items and the BAND button to exit.

Adjustable Settings:

RE-CON / DIS-CON: Manually connect or disconnect Bluetooth devices.
Clock Settings: Adjust hour and minute settings.
Clock Format: Select between 12-hour and 24-hour formats.
Beep Sound: Turn the beep sound on or off.
LOC On/Off: Enable or disable local reception (only strong signals).
RDS On/Off: Enable or disable Radio Data System functionality.
AF (Alternative Frequencies): Automatically search for stronger stations with the same program ID.
TA (Traffic Announcement): Automatically switch to radio mode for traffic announcements.
CT (Clock Time): Synchronize the device's clock with the RDS station's clock.
PTY (Program Type): Select program types for radio tuning.
Reset: Restore factory default settings.

Media Playback

USB Device Playback:

Slide open the USB port cover and connect your USB device.
Select "USB" using the SRC button to start playback.

SD Card Playback:

Press the panel release button, insert the SD card, and close the front panel.
Select "SD CARD" using the SRC button to start playback.

Smartphone USB 1A Charging:

Connect your iPhone/smartphone to the USB port for charging. This port only supports charging, not music playback.

External AUX Input:

Connect an external device using a 3.5mm cable.
Select "AUX" using the SRC button and start playback on the external device.

Installation

Device Installation:

Install the mounting sleeve into the dashboard.
Bend the tabs to secure the sleeve.
Slide the unit into the sleeve.
Attach the trim plate.

Removing the Device:

Press the panel release button.
Pull the control panel out.
Remove the unit from the sleeve.

Wiring Connections:

Connect the power, ignition, ground, and antenna cables according to the ISO connector diagram.
Connect speakers to the appropriate terminals (Front Left/Right, Rear Left/Right).
