Initial Setup
Follow the on-screen prompts to select your Country Area/Language. Tap 'Finish' to confirm.
TIP: Perform this setup when you use this unit for the first time.
Overview Of The Unit
Functions of the Buttons on the Head Unit
- Volume Up: Press the '+' button.
- Volume Down: Press the '-' button.
- Hold Power: Press and hold the power button to turn the unit on/off.
- Press Mute: Press the power button briefly to mute/unmute audio.
- Hold Clock: Press and hold the clock button to display the clock.
- Press Now Playing: Press the clock button briefly to show the 'Now Playing' screen.
- Hold Voice Assistant: Press and hold the voice assistant button to activate voice commands.
- Press Home: Press the voice assistant button briefly to return to the Home screen.
Home Screen Descriptions
- USB: Access USB media.
- Tuner Radio: Access the radio tuner.
- Phone Mirror: Connect your smartphone for mirroring.
- Bluetooth Audio: Connect Bluetooth audio devices.
- Audio Setting: Adjust audio preferences.
- Bluetooth Phone: Connect Bluetooth phones for calls.
- SmartPhone Connectivity: Access phone integration features.
- Rear Aux: Connect external audio devices via the rear auxiliary input.
- Setting Menu: Access system settings.
- DVR Mode: Activate Digital Video Recorder mode.

Shortcut
Tap and hold an icon and drag it to the shortcut area to create a shortcut. Swipe left/right to display/hide shortcuts.
Widget
Swipe right to display widgets. Tap the clock icon or the 'Now Playing' button to return to the 'Now Playing' mode.
Listening To The Radio
Radio Operation
Station Information: Displays current station details.
Hold: Auto Seek: Press and hold to automatically scan for stations.
Press: Manual Seek: Press briefly to manually tune to the next station.
Preset Stations: Access your saved radio stations.
Change Band (FM/AM): Switch between FM and AM radio bands.
Radio Setup: Access settings for Radio Setup, Auto Store, Local Seek, and RDS.
Radio Preset Station List
Tap the list icon ?️ to display the preset list. Tap again to hide it. Tap and hold a station to store it.
USB Playback
USB Media Operation
- Play Content: Tap the play button.
- Track Down/Up: Use the track skip buttons.
- Play/Pause: Tap the play/pause button.
- USB Setup List: Access USB settings.
- Drag to Fast Forward/Backward: Drag the progress bar to seek within the media.
USB Media Content List
Access content by Category List, Artist, Album, Songs, Genre, or Folder List. You can also link to Video List or Music List.
USB Album Art Wallpaper
You can set the Album Art as the background image. Tap 'Enable' or 'Disable' to toggle this function.
Bluetooth
How To Pair the Device?
Please search for 'GRUNDIG' on your phone's Bluetooth menu and connect. The unit will display 'GRUNDIG Connected' upon successful pairing.
Connect/Delete the Bluetooth Device
- Tap 'Select Device' in the Bluetooth setup menu.
- Touch the device name you wish to connect or delete.
Phone Call
- Delete Key: Clear input.
- Dial Keypad: Enter phone numbers.
- Voice Assistant: Activate voice control.
- Dial Call: Initiate a call.
- Phone Record book: Access your contacts.
- Paired Device List: View connected devices.
- Call Transfer: Transfer calls.
- Reject Call: Decline incoming calls.
TIP: To download the phonebook, please authorize the request on your phone.
Voice Assistant
Access the voice recognition function of your connected phone. This function requires Bluetooth to be connected. You can activate it by pressing and holding the VOICE button on the front panel. Tap 'Stop' to exit the Voice Control function.
Smart Phone Connectivity
Smart phone connectivity allows intuitive control of calls, maps, music, and messages using voice commands or touch.

Getting Start
- Connect your phone to the Car AV System using a USB cable. The smartphone connectivity icon will light up upon successful connection.
- Tap the icon to start.
TIP: Before using smartphone connectivity, go to phone mirroring settings to select your preferred connectivity device.
About Android Mirroring
Android Mirroring allows you to mirror your phone's screen to the Car AV System.
Connect the Android Phone
Connection failed or Connection Successful indicators will appear.
TIPS:
- If the connection is unsuccessful, unplug and re-insert the USB cable.
- Compatible Android devices: Android Version 5.0 or later.
Install a App
The 'Autolink' app may need to be installed. Follow on-screen prompts for installation and authorization. You can download the app via Google Play or by scanning a QR code.
TIP: Your phone must have the Autolink App installed and authorized to use Android Mirroring.
Authorization
Follow the on-screen authorization prompts on your phone to complete the process.
TIP: If the authorization message does not appear, unplug and re-insert the USB cable.
How to setup Android Mirroring two way control?
Bluetooth connect: Connect your phone via USB. The system will automatically connect Bluetooth, enabling two-way control once the Bluetooth connection is successful.
How to pop up the Android Assistive button?
Navigate to Settings > Phone Mirror Device > Android Assistive Touch to enable it.
TIPS:
- If an operation is not supported in Android mirroring mode, a message will appear. Tap the '?' button for details.

About iPhone Mirroring
iPhone Mirroring allows you to mirror your iPhone's screen to the Car AV System.
Connect an iPhone
Connection failed or Connection Successful indicators will appear.
TIPS:
- If the connection is unsuccessful, unplug and re-insert the USB cable.
- Compatible iPhone devices: iOS Version 8.0 or later.
Authorization
Follow the on-screen authorization prompts on your phone and 'trust' the device. If your phone is not authorized, check your phone and follow the message.
TIPS:
- Your iPhone must 'trust' the Car AV System before using iPhone Mirroring.
- If the authorization message is closed, unplug and re-insert the USB cable.
- For iPhones with iOS 11 or above, music and video player sound might not output. Consider using a third-party player.
- If an operation is not supported in iPhone mirroring mode, a message will appear. Tap the '?' button for details.

About Apple CarPlay
CarPlay offers a smarter, safer way to use your iPhone in the car, displaying essential iPhone functions on the product's screen. You can get directions, make calls, send/receive messages, and control music via Siri voice control.

- Hold to activate Siri.
- Switch forward and backward: Toggle between Apple CarPlay and Playback mode.

- Exits the CarPlay screen and displays the HOME screen.
- Hold: To activate Siri.
- Press: Display the home screen of CarPlay.

Android Auto allows you to use your Android device's functions conveniently while driving, including route guidance, calls, music, and other features.

Initial setup Android Auto
When using Android Auto for the first time, engage the parking brake and follow the on-phone instructions. You can also go to Settings/System to set the Parking option.

Voice only while driving
Use voice commands for navigation (e.g., Google Maps) and other functions. Ensure the parking brake is engaged when using handwriting input.
24 Bit DSP Audio
24 Bit DSP Audio Operation
Adjust various audio settings, including Equalizer, Time Alignment, Cross Over, Virtual Subwoofer, Fader/Balance/Music Zone, and X-Bass.
13 Band Equalizer
Customize the equalizer settings. You can save your settings to User1 or User2.
Time Alignment
- Delay: Tap 'Delay' to adjust the delay time for selected speakers.
- Level: Tap 'Level' to adjust the sound level for selected speakers.
Cross Over
- Tap Tweeter ? to set the virtual tweeter for front speakers.
- Tap ? to switch Front/Rear high pass filter function.
- Tap ? to switch Subwoofer low pass filter transfer function.
Virtual Subwoofer
Turn Rear Speakers to Virtual Subwoofer for enhanced bass without a physical subwoofer.
Fader. Balance / Music Zone
- Balance: Tap 'Balance' to adjust the volume balance around the touched area.
- Music Zone: Tap 'Music Zone' to select the perfect listening position.
X-Bass
Adjust the bass boost amount and the boost for low and high tones.
TIPS: Tap ⚙️ to resume to factory default values.
