Initial Setup
To begin, select the appropriate Country Area/Language and tap the 'Finish' button to confirm. This setup should be performed when using the unit for the first time.

Shortcut
Tap and hold an icon and drag it to the shortcut area to create a custom shortcut. Swipe left or right to display or hide shortcuts.
Widget
Swipe right to display widgets. Tap the clock icon or the 'Now Playing' button to return to the 'Now Playing' mode.
Listening To The Radio
Radio Operation
Station Information: Displays current station details.
- Hold: Auto Seek
- Press: Manual Seek
Preset Stations: Access saved radio stations.
Change Band (FM/AM): Switch between FM and AM bands.
Radio Setup: Access settings for Radio Setup, Auto Store, Local Seek, and RDS.
Radio Preset Station List
Tap the list icon ?️ to display the preset list. Tap again to hide it. Tap and hold a station to store it.
USB Playback
USB Media Operation
- Play: Start playback.
- Track Content Down: Navigate down the track list.
- Play/Pause: Control playback.
- Track Up: Navigate up the track list.
- USB Setup: Access USB settings.
Drag the progress bar to fast forward or backward.
USB Media Content List
- Category List: Browse by Category, Artist, Album, Songs, Genre.
- Link Search: Search for specific content.
- Folder List: Browse by folder structure.
- Video List: View available video files.
- Music List: View available music files.
- Return to Now Playing Mode: Go back to the current playback screen.
USB Album Art Wallpaper
You can set the Album Art as the background image. Tap 'Enable' or 'Disable' to activate or deactivate this function.
Bluetooth
How To Pair the Device?
Search for "GRUNDIG" on your phone's Bluetooth menu and connect. The unit will display "GRUNDIG Connected" upon successful pairing.
Connect/Delete the Bluetooth Device
- Tap 'Select Device' in the Bluetooth setup menu.
- Touch the device name you wish to connect or delete.
Phone Call
- Delete Key: Erase input.
- Dial Keypad: Access the dial pad.
- Voice Assistant: Activate voice assistant.
- Dial Call Record book: Access call history.
- Phone Call: Initiate a call.
- Paired Device List: View connected devices.
- Call Transfer: Transfer calls.
- Reject Call: Decline incoming calls.
Tips: To download the phonebook, authorize the request on your phone.
Voice Assistant
Access the voice recognition function of your connected phone. This function requires Bluetooth to be connected. You can activate it by pressing and holding the VOICE button on the front panel. Tap 'Stop' to exit Voice Control.
Smart Phone Connectivity
Smart phone connectivity allows intuitive control of calls, maps, music, and messages via voice or touch.
Please select the phone connectivity device from the menu setting:
- CarPlay
- Android Auto
- Android Mirror
- iPhone Mirror
Getting Start
- Connect your phone to the front USB port of the Car AV System using a USB cable. The smart phone connectivity icon will light up upon successful connection.
- Tap the icon to start.
Tips: Before using smart phone connectivity, go to phone mirroring settings to select your preferred connectivity device.
About Android Mirroring
Android Mirroring allows you to mirror your phone's screen to the Car AV System.
Connect the Android Phone
Tips: If connection fails, unplug and re-insert the USB cable. Compatible devices require Android Version 5.0 or later.
Install a App
The 'Autolink' app may need to be installed. Follow on-screen prompts for installation. You can find the app via Google Play or by scanning a QR code. Your phone must have the Autolink App installed and authorized to use Android Mirroring.
Authorization
Follow the on-screen authorization prompts on your phone to complete the process. If the authorization message does not appear, unplug and re-insert the USB cable.
How to setup Android Mirroring two way control?
Bluetooth connect: Connect your phone via USB. The system will automatically connect via Bluetooth, enabling two-way control.
How to pop up the Android Assistive button?
Navigate to Settings > Phone Mirror Device > Android Assistive Touch to enable it.
Tips: If an operation is not supported in Android mirroring mode, click the '?' button for details. For more help, go to Settings/Phone Connectivity Device/Q&A.
About iPhone Mirroring
iPhone Mirroring allows you to mirror your iPhone's screen to the Car AV System.
Connect an iPhone
Tips: If connection fails, unplug and re-insert the USB cable. Compatible devices require iOS Version 8.0 or later.
Authorization
Your iPhone must 'trust' the Car AV System. Follow the prompts on your phone. If the authorization message is closed, unplug and re-insert the USB cable. For iPhones with iOS 11 or later, music and video player sound may not output correctly; consider using third-party players. If an operation is not supported in iPhone mirroring mode, click the '?' button for details. For more help, go to Settings/Phone Connectivity Device/Q&A.
About Apple CarPlay
CarPlay offers a smarter, safer way to use your iPhone in the car, displaying essential functions like navigation, calls, messages, and music. Siri voice control is also available.

Settings of Apple CarPlay
You can adjust the CarPlay Sidebar to appear on the left or right side.
Tips: Please unplug the USB cable after changing the CarPlay Sidebar option.
Operation of Apple CarPlay
- Operation button of Apple CarPlay: Hold to activate Siri. Switch forward and backward between Apple CarPlay and Playback mode.
- Operation button on CarPlay Home: Application Buttons. Exits the CarPlay screen and displays the HOME screen. Hold: To activate Siri. Press: Display the home screen of CarPlay.
About Android Auto
Android Auto enables convenient use of your Android device for driving, including route guidance, calls, music, and other functions.

Initial setup Android Auto
When using Android Auto for the first time, engage the parking brake and follow the on-screen instructions on your phone. You can also configure parking settings in Settings/System.
Operation of Android Auto
- Operation button of Android Auto: Hold to activate Siri. Switch forward and backward between Apple CarPlay and Playback mode.
- Operation button on Android Auto Home: Return to Car Home. Google Assistant. Application/information buttons start applications or display information.
Voice only while driving
Use voice commands for navigation (e.g., Google Maps) and other functions. Tips: When using handwriting, engage the parking brake.
24 Bit DSP Audio
24 Bit DSP Audio Operation
Adjust various settings including Equalizer, Time Alignment, Cross Over, Virtual Subwoofer, Fader/Balance/Music Zone, and X-Bass.
13 Band Equalizer
Customize the equalizer settings. You can store your settings for User1 and User2.
Time Alignment
- Tap 'Delay' to adjust the delay time of the selected speaker.
- Tap 'Level' to adjust the sound level of the selected speaker.
Cross Over
- Tap 'Tweeter' to set the virtual tweeter for front speakers.
- Tap ?️ to switch the Front/Rear high pass filter function.
- Tap ?️ to switch the Subwoofer low pass filter transfer function.
Virtual Subwoofer
Turn the Rear Speakers to Virtual Subwoofer for enhanced bass without a physical subwoofer.
Fader, Balance / Music Zone
- Tap 'Balance' to adjust the volume balance around the touched area.
- Tap 'Music Zone' to select the perfect listening position.
X-Bass
Adjust the amount of bass boost and the boost for low and high tones.
Tips: Tap ⚙️ to resume factory default values.
