Product Description

Aluminium alloy housing, finish colour velvet white. Crystal glass, partially satin matt, with screw neck. Reflector made of pure anodised aluminium. Features 2 mounting holes with a diameter of 4.5 mm, spaced 96 mm apart. The luminaire is suitable for through-wiring. It includes connecting terminals for up to 2.5 mm² conductors and an earth conductor connection. It is powered by an LED power supply unit (220-240 V ~ 0/50-60 Hz DC 170-280 V). Equipped with BEGA Thermal Switch® for temporary thermal shutdown to protect temperature-sensitive components. Safety class I. Weight: 0.95 kg. This product contains light sources of energy efficiency class E.

Safety and Overvoltage Protection

The installation and operation of this luminaire are subject to national safety regulations. Installation and commissioning must only be carried out by a qualified electrician. BEGA accepts no liability for damage caused by improper use or installation. If subsequent modifications are made, the responsible party is considered the manufacturer.

The electronic components are protected against overvoltage according to DIN EN 61547. For additional protection against transients, separate overvoltage protection components are recommended, available on the BEGA website (www.bega.com).

Installation

Important Notes:

LEDs are high-quality electronic components. Avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping.
Remove the mounting plate from the luminaire housing.
Unplug the earth conductor connection (plug contact).
Crucial: If mounting on a metallic, electroconductive surface, ensure the mounting surface is conductively connected to the luminaire's earth conductor.

Installation Steps:

Lead the power connecting cable through the mounting plate.
Fix the mounting plate onto the mounting surface using the provided or other suitable fixing material.
Establish the earth conductor connection to the luminaire housing (plug contact).
Make the earth conductor connection. Push silicone sleeves over the connecting wires and make the electrical connection.

Securing the Luminaire:

For a secure connection, precise positioning of the luminaire housing relative to the mounting plate is essential. Ensure the vertical bar inside the luminaire housing fits precisely into the designated area on the long bar of the mounting plate. Press the luminaire housing firmly against the mounting plate and turn it clockwise until it stops securely.

Opening and Maintenance

To Open the Luminaire: Unscrew the glass from the luminaire housing by turning it counter-clockwise. To prevent the luminaire from rotating with the glass, hold the luminaire housing firmly with one hand.

Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean the luminaire regularly with dirt-free, solvent-free cleaning agents.

LED Module Replacement

The designation of the LED module is noted on a label inside the luminaire. BEGA replacement modules match the original modules in light colour and luminous flux. Replacement can be performed by qualified persons using standard tools. Ensure the system is de-energized before opening the luminaire. Follow the specific installation instructions for the LED module. Any defective glass must be replaced. Close the luminaire after replacement.
