Features and Benefits
Display
The SST4 features the largest LCD screen in its class, ensuring clear information display for quick decision-making. It can clearly show four gases, indicated in PPM, %vol, mg/m3, and %LEL. Correction factors can be set via the WatchGas SST application for one-to-one readings for the desired target gas. With its backlight, it can be used in dark environments and will illuminate during an alarm condition.
Sensors
Utilizing new Solid State technology, the H2S, CO, O2, and SO2 sensors offer stability and reliability in extreme temperatures and conditions. Toxic sensors have a smaller form factor, and the removal of liquid electrolyte provides a long-lasting sensor. A choice of 3 different LEL sensors offers flexibility and longer operating periods compared to conventional technology.
NFC (Near Field Communication)
NFC is built-in as standard, enabling a wide range of solutions based on your needs. Simply pair the SST4 with the WatchGas SST application to manage your fleet, perform bump tests, calibrate, assign, or download logs and data logs.
Alerts
As a safety device, it is essential that the unit clearly informs the user of the presence of gas. The SST4 has an alarm of 95 dB at 30 centimeters, which is industry standard and necessary in noisy industrial environments. High, High-High, Low, Low-Low, TWA, and STEL alarms can be configured by the user and updated directly on the unit via the SST Dock or the WatchGas SST application.
Wireless Charging
In dirty and harsh environments where gas detectors are often used, charging connectors can become damaged. The SST4 is designed with inductive charging, allowing for simple and fast charging without the risk of cable and port damage. A full charging cycle takes 2-3 hours. Various charging accessories are available.
Rugged Design
Designed with the harshest environments in mind, the SST4 offers an IP classification of 65-68. The housing is a double-injection molded enclosure, providing extra robustness without compromising quality. Screen protectors placed on both sides of the display protect the LCD screen from scratches.
