Remove stroller from box. The front wheel and rear wheels MUST be installed prior to use.

Front Wheels

To attach the front wheels, unfold stroller as described below:

  1. Lean the stroller backward so that it rests on the handle and rear axle frame, and the front wheel forks are pointing upward (Fig. 1).
  2. Slide the front wheel onto the front forks (Fig. 2).
  3. Slide the retainer plate onto the front wheel. Ensure the raised lip points toward the fork and insert it into the slot on the fork. Align the tab on the retainer plate with the slot before tightening the wheel (Fig. 3).
  4. With the wheel in position, tighten the axle nuts with a standard wrench until significant resistance is felt and the wheel is held tightly in place (Fig. 4).

Rear Wheels

  1. Rest the stroller upside down on the handle.
  2. Press the rear wheel posts into the rear frame hub until they click into place (Fig. 5). NOTE: Pull on the rear wheel to ensure it is securely attached.

Tires

Tires are shipped un-inflated. Inflate regularly to the specified PSI using a bicycle style hand air pump (Fig. 6).

Parent Tray

WARNING: Do not place hot liquids or more than 3 pounds in the parent tray. Serious burns or unstable conditions could result.

  1. To attach the parent tray: align fittings on the tray ends with the fittings on the outside of the handle. Hook the hole in the parent tray. Pull outward on the opposite end while pushing down on the tray until locked onto the stroller handle. Be careful not to pinch your fingers (Fig. 7).
  2. NOTE: Check that the parent tray is secure before using.

Seatback Positioning

  1. To recline the seat: loosen the strap through the buckle and adjust to the required recline position (Fig. 8a).
  2. To place the seat back in a more upright position: press upward on the seat back with one hand while pulling the strap through the buckle with the other (Fig. 8b).
  3. NOTE: The upright position should be used only for a child at least 6 months old. Always re-adjust the safety harness, including the shoulder belts, when repositioning the seatback.

Child Tray

  1. The parent tray includes speakers with an MP3 jack. Connect the male end of the speaker wire into your MP3 player (Fig. 11).

Brakes

WARNING: Always set brakes when the stroller is not being pushed to prevent it from rolling away. NEVER leave the stroller unattended on a hill or incline, as it may slide down.

  1. To engage brakes: apply light downward pressure to the brake lever on each rear wheel. Slight forward or rearward movement may be needed to align the brake teeth with the wheel brake cluster (Fig. 12). NOTE: Check that the stroller does not move and both brakes are properly applied.
  2. To release: gently lift up on the brake lever.

Safety Information

Front Wheel Lock

WARNING: Always lock the front swivel wheel in the STRAIGHT position before placing or removing your child from the stroller and when walking fast or jogging.

FALL HAZARD: To prevent tip-overs, lock the front wheel from swiveling before running, jogging, or walking fast.

  1. The front wheels have a swivel locking device. Push the button upward to engage locks and downward to disengage (Fig. 13).

Securing the Child

WARNING: Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out. Always use the safety harness.

STRANGULATION HAZARD: A child can strangle in loose straps. Never leave a child in the seat when straps are loose or undone.

5-Point Harness:

  1. The 5-point harness shoulder straps have 3 attachment positions (Fig. 14a). Select the position that places the shoulder strap level with, or below, the top of the child's shoulder (Fig. 14b).
  2. Carefully place the child in the stroller seat. Bring the safety harness around the child's waist and over the shoulders. Place the crotch strap between the child's legs. Insert the male end of each shoulder/waist belt into the crotch strap buckle. Tighten the harness to be snug around the child's waist and over the child's shoulders (Fig. 14c).

Releasing the Child

  1. Type 1: To release, push the button on the center clasp; the two harness buckles will pop free (Fig. 15).
  2. Type 2: To release, apply pressure to both sides of each male clip until the clip is released (Fig. 16).

Jogging with Your Stroller

WARNING: Never jog or run with your newborn in the car seat position. Use for strolling only.

STRANGULATION HAZARD: Children have strangled when straps wrapped around their neck. Remove straps when not in use and place in stroller storage pocket. Keep stroller carrier strap out of children's reach.

When jogging with your child, use the following safety features:

  1. LOCK THE FRONT SWIVEL WHEEL IN STRAIGHT POSITION (Step 13).
  2. SAFETY WRIST STRAP: Always connect the safety strap to your wrist when jogging. This strap will keep the stroller from rolling away if you trip. The safety strap must remain connected to the rear lower frame cross member at all times to prevent the stroller from tipping backward if you fall. The strap includes a hook and loop attachment for storage on the left side of the stroller when not in use (Fig. 17a, Fig. 17b).

Infant Car Seat Attachment

WARNING: Never jog or run with your newborn in the car seat position. Use for strolling only.

WARNING: Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out; always use the Infant Car Seat harness.

  1. Adjust the seat back to its most upright position (Fig. 18a). Check that the front child tray is firmly attached to the stroller armrests.
  2. Position the infant car seat facing the rear of the stroller. The seat shell should go into the front tray and latch into place (Fig. 18b).
  3. Turn tabs on the stroller frame to lock the front of the car seat into the stroller (Fig. 18c). DO NOT place support tabs behind the seat.

To Remove Infant Car Seat

  1. Turn tabs on the stroller frame to unlock (Fig. 19a).
  2. Squeeze the release handle located at the foot-end of the seat and carefully lift upward on the seat (Fig. 19b).

Folding and Unfolding

To Fold the Stroller

CAUTION: Be careful to prevent finger entrapment when folding the stroller.

CAUTION: Never allow children near the stroller while folding.

  1. Close the canopy as described in the canopy section (step 10). Place the seat in the furthest recline position.
  2. Pull the stroller backward several inches to adjust the front wheels forward.
  3. Fold the stroller by pulling both release triggers (Fig. 20a) and pushing the handle toward the floor. Ensure the front wheels lie flat, then secure the stroller in the folded position by locking the fold latch on the right side over the rivet (Fig. 20b).

To Unfold the Stroller

CAUTION: Be careful to prevent finger entrapment when unfolding the stroller.

CAUTION: Never allow children near the stroller while unfolding.

  1. Unlock the release lever (Fig. 21a).
  2. Unfold the stroller frame by pulling upward on the handle until the frame locks (Fig. 21b).

Maintenance and Care

Testing for Proper Wheel Installation

WARNING: ALWAYS check the double nut locking system before each use to ensure the front wheel is securely fastened to the frame.

  1. Lift the front wheel off the ground and sharply strike the top of the tire (Fig. 22). The wheel should not be loose or come off.
  2. If you experience front wheel wobble, you may need to adjust the front wheel housing nut.
  3. Remove the footrest to access the nut. Use a standard wrench to tighten the nut (Fig. 23). DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN, as this can damage the wheel housing.

Fender

If adjustment or replacement is necessary:

  1. Align the front fender and press it onto the front frame assembly (Fig. 24a).
  2. Insert 4 screws through the underside of the front frame assembly into the fender's plastic tubes. Tighten screws until snug (Fig. 24b). DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN.

Seat Pad

To clean the seat pad, use only mild household soap or detergent and warm water on a sponge or clean cloth.

Other Checks

Regularly check your stroller for loose screws, worn parts, torn material, or stitching. Replace or repair parts as needed.
