Safety Instructions
Brakes
WARNING: Always set brakes when the stroller is not being pushed to prevent it from rolling away. Never leave the stroller unattended on a hill or incline.
To engage brakes: Apply downward pressure to the brake levers on the rear axle. The stroller may require forward or rearward movement to engage. Check that the stroller will not move once brakes are applied. To release: Gently lift up on the brake levers.
Front Wheel Lock
WARNING: Always lock the front swivel wheel in the STRAIGHT position before placing or removing children, and when walking fast or jogging.
FALL HAZARD: To prevent tip-overs when running, jogging, or walking fast, lock the front wheel from swiveling.
The front wheels have a swivel locking device. Push the button on each wheel upwards to engage locks and push downward to disengage the locking device.
Securing the Child
WARNING: Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out. Always use the safety harness.
STRANGULATION HAZARD: Children can strangle in loose straps. Never leave a child in the seat when straps are loose or undone.
The 5-point harness shoulder straps have 3 attachment positions. Select the position that places the shoulder strap level with, or below, the child's shoulder.
Carefully place the child in the stroller seat. Bring the safety harness around the child's waist and over the shoulders. Place the crotch strap between the child's legs. Insert the male end of each shoulder/waist belt into the buckle on the crotch strap. Tighten the harness to be snug around the child's waist and over the child's shoulders.
Releasing the Child
To release: Press the button on the center clasp; the two harness buckles will pop free. For a different buckle type, apply pressure to both sides of each male clip until released.
Jogging with Your Stroller
WARNING: Never jog or run with a newborn in the car seat position. Use for strolling only.
STRANGULATION HAZARD: Children have strangled when straps wrapped around their neck. Remove straps when not in use and place in stroller storage pocket. Keep stroller carrier straps out of children's reach.
When jogging, use the following safety features:
- LOCK THE FRONT SWIVEL WHEEL IN STRAIGHT POSITION (Step 15).
- SAFETY WRIST STRAP: Always connect the safety strap to your wrist when jogging. This strap will keep the stroller from rolling away if you trip. The strap must remain connected to the rear lower frame cross member at all times to prevent tipping backward if you fall. The strap includes a hook-and-loop attachment for storage on the left side of the stroller when not in use.
Infant Car Seat Attachment
WARNING: Never jog or run with a newborn in the car seat position. Use for strolling only.
WARNING: Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out; always use the Infant Car Seat harness.
- Fully recline the seat back and turn car seat support tabs on the stroller frame. Ensure the front child tray is firmly attached to the stroller armrests.
- Position the infant car seat facing toward the rear of the stroller, ensuring the seat shell latches into the front tray.
- Once locked, strap the single short clip over the infant car seat through the seat belt slot. Ensure the short clip is tightly fastened around the infant car seat.
To Remove Infant Car Seat: Squeeze the release handle at the foot-end of the seat and lift upward.
