The Baby Trend® warranty covers workmanship defects within 1 year of purchase. Any product which has been subjected to misuse, abuse, abnormal use, excessive wear and tear, improper assembly, negligence, environmental exposure, alteration or accident, or has had its serial number altered or removed invalidates all claims against the manufacturer. Any damage to property during installation is the sole responsibility of the end user.

Safety Warnings

WARNING: Please follow all of these instructions to ensure the safety of your child. Keep these instructions for future reference.

WARNING: Failure to follow these instructions could result in serious injury or death. Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out, always use the safety harness and insure that the children are properly positioned according to these instructions.

WARNING: Never leave children unattended.

• Purses, shopping bags, parcels, diaper bags or accessory items may change the balance of the stroller and cause a hazardous, unstable condition.
• The maximum weight that can be carried in the storage basket is 5 lb (2.26 kg). The parent tray and child tray capacity is 3 lb (1.36 kg). The Seat Belt storage pocket: To store seat belt only, maximum weight is 1 lb (0.45 kg). Excessive weight may cause a hazardous unstable condition.
• Be certain the stroller is completely opened and locked in place before allowing a child near the stroller.
• The maximum weight for the front seat is 50 lb (22.68 kg).
• The maximum weight for the platform and jump/rear seat is 60 lb (27.21 kg).
• The rear stand on platform and jump/rear seat are designed for a child who is at least 2 1/2 years old and is not over 40 inches (101.6 cm) tall. Children totaling more than 110 pounds (49.89 kg) will cause excessive wear and stress on the stroller and may cause a hazardous unstable condition.
• NEVER use the stroller on stairways or escalators.
• NEVER allow your stroller to be used as a toy.
• To clean, use only mild household soap or detergent and warm water on a sponge or clean cloth.
• Check your stroller regularly for loose screws, worn parts, torn material or stitching. Replace or repair parts as needed.
• Discontinue use of stroller if it malfunctions or becomes damaged. Please contact our customer service department to arrange for repair or obtain replacement parts.

Assembly Instructions

General Assembly Notes

IMPORTANT! To ensure safe operation of your stroller, please follow these instructions carefully. Please keep these instructions for future reference.

IMPORTANT! Before assembly and each use, inspect this product for damaged hardware, loose joints, missing parts or sharp edges. NEVER use if any parts are missing or broken.

IMPORTANT! Adult assembly is required.

Front Wheels

To attach the front wheels, unfold stroller as described below:

1. Unlock the fold latch [Diagram showing fold latch].
2. Unfold stroller frame by sliding the thumb trigger to the left and squeezing the pull trigger while pulling backward on the stroller handle [Diagram showing unfolding mechanism].
3. To attach the front wheels, lean the stroller back so that it rests on the handle with the front and rear legs pointing upward. Position the front wheels over the front leg tubes so that the hole in the housing lines up and will slide onto the legs [Diagram showing wheel alignment]. Firmly push down until the wheels lock securely into place. Tug on each wheel to ensure they are both securely attached.

Rear Wheels

Position rear axle over the rear leg tubes, brake pedals facing the back. At the same time, push down applying equal pressure to both sides until they lock into place [Diagram showing rear wheel attachment].

NOTE: NEVER use the stroller if the wheels do not lock into place. If you need assistance, please contact our customer service department at 1-800-328-7363, M-F, between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., PST.

Foot Rest

Push downward on the foot rest until it snaps onto the U-shaped frame cross member [Diagram showing foot rest attachment].

Child Tray

WARNING: The child's tray is not a restraint device: always secure your child with the seat belt. DO NOT lift the stroller by the child's tray. Use care when attaching the child's tray on the stroller with a child in the stroller.

1. To attach the child tray: Push the tray downward and onto each side of the front armrests until both sides snap into place [Diagram showing child tray attachment]. Check that the tray is securely latched in place.
2. To access the child seat: Pull one side of the release lever located on the underside of the child tray and lift upward. Either side of the child tray will lift and rotate out of the way to allow access to the seat [Diagram showing child tray access].
3. To rotate the child tray: In order to attach an infant car seat to the stroller, the child tray must be rotated to the vertical position. Press buttons on both sides of the child tray to rotate down 90 degrees [Diagram showing child tray rotation].
4. To remove the child tray: Pull both release levers located on the underside of each side of the tray and lift upward [Diagram showing child tray removal].

Cup Holders

To attach the cup holder: Push the cup holders downward and onto each side of the armrests until it snaps into place [Diagram showing cup holder attachment]. To remove, pull the release lever located on the underside of the cup holder.

Canopy

To attach the canopy: Line up the male fittings on the canopy with the slots on the armrest and push both fittings downward until snapped into place [Diagram showing canopy attachment].

To open the canopy, push forward on the front edge of the canopy while holding the rear of canopy in place. To close the canopy, pull backward on the front edge.

To remove the canopy: Press the snap button under the armrest and pull to release the fitting from the slot. Repeat for the other side [Diagram showing canopy removal].

NOTE: The canopy is only needed when using the seated position for your child. It is not needed when using with the infant car seat.

Parent Tray

To attach the parent tray, position the tray so that the hinges for the storage compartment are facing forward. Snap the parent tray to the stand at the top of the frame [Diagram showing parent tray attachment].

NOTE: Check that the tray is securely latched in place.

Brakes

WARNING: Always set brakes when the stroller is not being pushed so that the stroller will not roll away. NEVER leave stroller unattended on a hill or incline as the stroller may slide down the hill.

1. To engage brakes, apply light downward pressure to the brake lever located on each rear wheel. The stroller may require slight forward or rearward movement in order to line up the teeth on the brake with each wheel brake cluster [Diagram showing brake engagement].
2. NOTE: Check that the stroller will not move and that both brakes are properly applied.
3. To release, gently lift up on the brake lever [Diagram showing brake release].

Securing the Child (5-Point Harness)

WARNING: Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out. Always use the safety harness.

STRANGULATION HAZARD: Child can strangle in loose straps. Never leave child in seat when straps are loose or undone.

The shoulder straps of the 5-point harness have 2 attachment positions. Select the loop position that places the shoulder strap level with, or below the top of the child's shoulder and feed the shoulder harness under the correct loop. To adjust harness slot, unhook the shoulder strap from the crotch buckle [Diagram showing harness adjustment]. Feed the shoulder strap through the harness spread slots. You can access these slots from the rear of the seat. Feed shoulder strap through appropriate slot and reattach shoulder strap to crotch buckle.

Carefully place the child in the stroller seat and bring the safety harness around the child's waist and over the shoulders. Place the crotch strap between the child's legs. Insert the male end of each shoulder/waist belt into the buckle on the crotch strap. Tighten the harness to be snug around the child's waist and over the child's shoulders [Diagram showing harness fastening].

Harness Release

To release, push Button on Center Clasp; the two Harness Buckles will pop free [Diagram showing harness release].

NOTE: Buckles may be hard to release when first used.

Car Seat Safety Belt

Strap the safety belt over the infant car seat through the seat belt slots on the infant car seat, connect the buckles together [Diagram showing car seat belt attachment]. The safety belts for the infant car seat are located in small pockets on outer sides of seat pads [Diagram showing belt location]. Tighten the strap so the infant car seat fits snug and can't move.

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT THE INFANT CAR SEAT STRAP IS ALWAYS TIGHTLY FASTENED AROUND THE INFANT CAR SEAT.

NOTE: When the stand feature safety belt is not used, you must store the stand feature safety belt back to its storage.

Platform - Safety Belt

The stroller rear is equipped with a safety belt designated for the platform. Always secure the stand feature safety belt behind child and engage buckle when using the platform [Diagram showing platform belt attachment].

To release, apply pressure to both sides of each male clip until the clip is released. This process requires a moderate amount of effort so as to prevent an accidental release by your child [Diagram showing platform belt release].

To Recline Seats

WARNING: The upright position should be used only for a child that is at least 6 months old.

The front seat has a two position recline. To recline the seat, rotate the recline bar and press backward on the seat back [Diagram showing seat recline]. To place the seat in the upright position, press upward on the seat back while rotating the recline bar.

To Attach Infant Car Seat

WARNING: This stroller is NOT compatible with any ALLY Car Seats.

WARNING: To avoid serious injury from falling, ALWAYS use the safety belt to secure the FRONT car seats.

ATTENTION: The infant car seat may only be attached on the front seat of the stroller.

To attach the infant car seat in the front seating position: Attach the child tray in the front seating position and rotate to the vertical position. Place the seat in the reclined position (refer to Fig. 16). Set the infant car seat facing toward the rear of the stroller so the seat shell goes into the child tray and latches into place [Diagram showing infant car seat attachment].

Removing the Infant Car Seat

To remove the Infant Car Seat, squeeze the release handle located at the foot-end of the seat and carefully lift upward on the seat [Diagram showing infant car seat removal].

Jump Seat

WARNING: The rear platform and jump seat are designed to accommodate a child who is at least 2 1/2 years old, has good balance and coordination, and is not over 40 inches tall.

To use the jump seat, please remove the child tray (if attached). To remove the rear child tray: See page 10 for details.

Sitting on Jump Seat

Have the child sit on the jump seat facing backwards. Secure the child with the jump seat 3-point harness. Part of the 3-point harness is stored in the pocket on the back of the front seat. Put the seat belt around the child's waist, and buckle to the crotch strap. Adjust the seat belt to be snug around the child's waist [Diagram showing jump seat harness use].

RELEASE! Push the button on the center clasp and all the harness straps will release [Diagram showing harness release button].

Standing on the Platform

Position the child on the platform on the back of the stroller. Be sure child is standing facing forward and hands are holding frame. Secure the stand feature safety belt behind child and engage buckle [Diagram showing platform standing position]. To release see step 15.

NOTE: Be sure that the child's feet are fully on the platform at all times.

To Fold Stroller

CAUTION: Care must be taken when folding and unfolding the stroller to prevent finger entrapment.

CAUTION: Do not allow children near stroller while folding.

1. Close the canopy as described in the canopy section.
2. Pull stroller backward several inches to rotate the front wheels to the front [Diagram showing wheel rotation for folding].
3. To fold the stroller, slide the fold lock with your thumb while squeezing the large fold button in the center of the handle and push forward on the handle [Diagram showing folding mechanism].
4. Once the stroller begins to fold, release the handle and push forward on the handle until the stroller is folded. Lock the fold latch [Diagram showing final fold lock].
