- Avoid connecting or using the product during thunderstorms. The electrical network can transmit disturbances that may expose the product or persons to electric shock.
- The product should be installed and used indoors. The product casing must not be covered.
- Plastic bags pose a suffocation risk. Keep them out of reach of children.
- The product is designed for vertical use.
- Maintain a minimum distance of 20 cm from any person when the unit is in operation.
Climate
- This product is intended for stationary use in an office or home room with a maximum ambient temperature of 40°C (104°F).
- Do not install in a location exposed to direct, strong sunlight and/or heat radiation.
- Avoid heat accumulation (e.g., by placing it on or under other electronic equipment) and exposure to moisture or condensation.
- Install in an environment with pollution degree 2 (an environment without pollution or with dry, non-conductive pollutants).
Water and Moisture
- Do not install the product in a damp or dusty location.
- Do not allow the product to come into contact with water or other liquids. No liquid should enter the product.
- Do not use this product near water, such as near bathtubs, washbasins, sinks, washing machines, in damp basements, or next to a swimming pool.
- If liquid or any other substance enters the unit, immediately turn it off and unplug the power cord. Continued use risks electric discharge or fire.
- If the product is moved from a cold to a warmer environment, condensation may form. Allow the unit to dry before powering it on again.
Cleaning & Maintenance
- Before cleaning, turn off the unit and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet and the computer.
- Do not use liquid cleaners, cleaning sprays, or chemical products that may damage plastic materials.
- Do not use substances containing alcohol, benzene, or solvents, nor other flammable products, as this may cause fire.
- To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble the product. No user-serviceable parts are inside. Opening or removing covers exposes you to dangerous voltage. Improper reassembly may cause electric shock upon next use. Contact customer service for repair or inspection.
Power Supply
- Use only the supplied power adapter and accessories. Connect them to the mains according to the installation instructions and the indications on the power adapter's identification label (mains voltage, current, and frequency).
- Using other power sources may cause overheating, deformation, electric discharge, or fire.
- The coaxial cable connector is intended for connection to a grounded mains socket in the building.
Accessibility & Electrical Surge
- Ensure the wall socket for the power cable is easily accessible and located as close to the unit as possible for easy disconnection in case of problems.
- Do not overload mains sockets or extension cords, as this increases the risk of fire and electric shock.
Damage Requiring Service
- Disconnect the unit from the wall socket and have it serviced by authorized support if:
- The power adapter or plug is damaged.
- Any of the supplied cables are damaged or frayed.
- Liquid has been spilled into the unit, or it has been exposed to water or rain.
- The unit does not operate normally or shows widely varying performance.
- The unit has been dropped or otherwise damaged.
- There are visible signs of overheating.
- If small metal objects (needles, paper clips, etc.) accidentally enter the unit, immediately unplug it from the mains (risk of electric shock) and contact Customer Service for guidance. Do not plug in the unit before the foreign object is removed.
- If the unit smokes or smells burnt, immediately unplug the power cord. Do not open the unit yourself, as you risk a fatal electric shock.
Usage Restrictions
- This equipment is intended for private indoor use.
- LAN ports (LAN 1-4), COAX port, and telephony port are intended for connection to indoor cable circuits exclusively within the building where the product is installed and do not terminate on remote equipment grounded to another grounding network.
- Wireless devices may be prohibited in certain circumstances or environments by building owners or responsible organization representatives. If unsure about wireless device usage in an organization or specific location (e.g., airports), seek permission before use.
