Utility Sink Drain Installation Instructions
Tools Required
- Drain Wrench [wrench-tool]
- Dumbbell Drain Wrench [dumbbell-wrench-tool]
- Basin Wrench [basin-wrench-tool]
- Adjustable Wrench [adjustable-wrench-tool]
- Silicone Sealant [sealant-tube-icon]
- Screwdriver [screwdriver-tool]
Installation Step:
- Clean area around the sink drain hole and apply a bead of silicone based caulking to the underside of the drain flange and insert into drain hole from the top.
- From below the sink slide rubber washer up onto the drain threads until it comes in contact with the sink.
- Thread locknut by hand, make sure the drain is centered on the sink drain hole and tighten lock nut using a basin wrench, be careful not to overtighten especially if it is being installed on a porcelain or fireclay sink.
- Secure the "P" trap to the drain using the provided compression nut and rubber gasket.
Drain Assembly Components:
- Component 1: Sink strainer grid with multiple holes
- Component 2: Drain body with threaded pipe
- Component 3: Large rubber washer
- Component 4: Large metal washer or flange
- Component 5: Small rubber washer
- Component 6: Lock nut
