Kingston Basket Strainer Installation Instructions

NOTE: USE TEFLON TAPE ON ALL THREADED CONNECTIONS.

Parts Diagram

The following components are included in the basket strainer assembly:

Basket: A perforated metal basket, typically with a lift rod or knob for operation.
Drain Body: The main conical metal body that fits through the sink drain opening and connects to the plumbing.
Rubber Gasket: A thick rubber seal placed between the drain body and the sink to prevent leaks.
Paper Washer: A thinner washer, often made of fiber or paper, used in conjunction with the rubber gasket for sealing.
Brass Nut: A large hexagonal nut, usually made of brass, that secures the drain body to the sink from underneath.
Washer: An additional washer, which may be metal or rubber, used in the assembly.
Slip Nut: A nut used to connect the drain body to the trap or tailpiece, allowing for a slip-joint connection.
