Visual Description: The BTFREQ™ Mini is a compact rectangular device. The included cables are a USB-C to USB-C cable and a 3.5mm audio cable.

Device Overview and Controls

The BTFREQ™ Mini features several controls and indicators:

• 1. 3.5mm Audio Jack: For connecting audio sources or outputs.
• 2. Play/Pause & Battery Indicators: Controls playback and shows charging status.
• 3. LED Display: Shows mode (RX, TX, FM) and FM frequency.
• 4. RX/TX/FM Mode Indicator: Lights up to show the current operating mode.
• 5. Power/Mode Button (M): Used for power and cycling through modes.
• 6. Track Back: Skips to the previous track.
• 7. Play/Pause Button: Controls audio playback.
• 8. Track Forward: Skips to the next track.
• 9. USB-C Charging Port: For charging the device.

Charging and Power

Charging

Connect the included USB-C cable (B) to the BTFREQ™ Mini's USB-C Charging Port (9) and a USB-C charger or power source (not included). The battery indicator (2) will light up during charging and turn off when charging is complete.

Power On/Off

Press and hold the Power/Mode Button (5) to turn the unit on or off.

Operating Modes

Bluetooth Receiver Mode (RX)

Function: Receives audio wirelessly via Bluetooth and outputs it through a wired connection.

Input: Bluetooth audio device (e.g., smartphone, tablet).

Output: Car or home stereo with 3.5mm AUX-IN, or wired headphones.

Setup:

1. Short-press the MODE button (5) until the RX mode indicator (4) illuminates and "BLUE" appears on the LED Display (3).
2. Connect the 3.5mm audio cable (C) from the BTFREQ™ Mini's 3.5mm Audio Jack (1) to your car stereo, home stereo, or headphones.
3. The BTFREQ™ Mini automatically pairs with Bluetooth devices when powered on. If manual pairing is needed, double-press the MODE button (5). On your Bluetooth device, find and select "Scosche BTTRFM".

Note: BTFREQ Mini supports audio playback only, not hands-free calling.

Bluetooth Transmitter Mode (TX)

Function: Transmits audio wirelessly via Bluetooth from a wired source to a Bluetooth receiver.

Input: Audio device with a 3.5mm AUX-OUT (e.g., MP3 player, laptop).

Output: Bluetooth wireless audio receiver, speaker, or headphones.

Setup:

1. Short-press the MODE button (5) until the TX mode indicator (4) illuminates and "BLUE" appears on the LED Display (3).
2. Connect the 3.5mm audio cable (C) from the BTFREQ™ Mini's 3.5mm Audio Jack (1) to your audio source's AUX-OUT.
3. Pair the BTFREQ™ Mini with your Bluetooth receiver (speaker, headphones) according to the receiver's instructions.

FM Radio Mode (FM)

Function: Transmits audio wirelessly to an FM radio receiver.

Input: Bluetooth audio device OR audio device with 3.5mm AUX-OUT.

Output: FM audio (wireless) to your car or home FM radio.

Setup:

1. Short-press the MODE button (5) until the FM mode indicator (4) illuminates and an FM frequency number appears on the LED Display (3).
2. Tune your car or home FM audio receiver to a frequency that has no radio station reception.
3. Press and hold the PLAY/PAUSE button (7) on the BTFREQ™ Mini. While holding, adjust the frequency on the BTFREQ™ Mini until it matches the frequency displayed on your FM audio receiver.

Audio Playback Functions

Note: For best results, turn the volume up on the input device and control the playback volume on the output device.

• Power On/Off: Press and hold the Mode button (5).
• Switch Modes (RX/TX/FM): Press the Mode button (5) once.
• Enter Pairing Mode: Double-press the Mode button (5).
• Track Back: Press the Track Back button (6) once.
• Play/Pause: Press the Play/Pause button (7) once.
• Track Forward: Press the Track Forward button (8) once.
• Adjust FM Frequency: Press and hold the Play/Pause button (7) and use it to cycle through frequencies.
