Scosche FMMOD02 Auxiliary Input / FM Modulator

ADJUSTING THE FMMOD02

Turn on the radio and tune to either 87.9Mhz or 88.3Mhz as selected by the switch on the side of the FMMOD02 unit.
Turn on the FMMOD02 power switch.
Connect your MP3 player to the Auxiliary Input using the 3.5mm to 3.5mm audio cable provided. All operation will be done on the MP3 player's controls.
Set the volume on your MP3 player to 75% to prevent distortion. The master volume control can be controlled via the vehicle's radio.

OPERATION

Tune to your FM station preset you selected during the installation process.
Turn on the FMMOD02 power switch.
Turn on your MP3 player and play your music. Enjoy!

IMPORTANT: We recommend turning off the switch plate when not in use due to interference that it may cause when listening to other AM/FM radio frequencies.

LIMITED WARRANTY

Scosche Industries Inc. warrants this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 90 days from purchase. This Scosche product is sold with the understanding that the purchaser has independently determined the suitability of this product. This warranty is offered to the original purchaser of the product only. This warranty does not cover the product if physically damaged, subject to negligence or misuse, abuse, alteration, accident, or an act of GOD. This warranty does not apply to product which has water or physically damaged by accident or which has been misused, disassembled or altered.

The original dated sales slip or proof of purchase will establish warranty eligibility. If the product should prove defective within the warranty period, return the product with proof of purchase to Scosche Industries Inc. Scosche, at its option, will replace or repair the product free of charge and return the product postage paid.

In no event shall Scosche Industries, Inc. be responsible for claims beyond the replacement value of the defective product, or in any way be liable or responsible for consequential or incidental damages. No express warranties and no implied warranties, whether for fitness or any particular use or otherwise, except as set forth above (which is made expressly in lieu of all other warranties) shall apply to products sold by Scosche. Scosche Industries cannot be held responsible for discrepancies/inconsistencies that may occur due to automotive manufacturing changes or option.

(1) Double-sided tape

RECOMMENDED TOOLS:

Phillips screwdriver
Panel removal tool
10mm socket and ratchet
Drill and bits
Pliers

READ AND UNDERSTAND THESE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO INSTALL THIS PRODUCT.

PRELIMINARY: This device is installed behind the radio.

Remove the radio to gain access to the antenna plug. Contact Scosche tech support for assistance with radio removal: 1-800-621-3695 Ext. 3.
Disconnect the antenna from the factory radio then plug it into the female antenna connection on the FMMOD02.
Plug the male antenna plug from the FMMOD02 into the antenna slot on the back of the radio.
Note: If the antenna plug of the FMMOD02 plug does not fit into the back of your radio, please contact Scosche tech support for application support.
Locate a suitable location to mount the FMMOD02 switch plate. You can use the zip ties to mount the modulator. Hint: Keep in mind the length of the cables.
Connect the RED power wire to a +12v ignition or accessory power source. This power can usually be found behind the radio or at the fuse box. For assistance contact Scosche tech support.
Connect the BLACK ground wire to a ground wire behind the radio or to chassis metal of the vehicle. For assistance contact Scosche tech support.
Connect the RED and WHITE RCA cables to your auxiliary input on the FMMOD02. Use the supplied 3.5mm to 3.5mm audio cable to listen to your media for most MP3 players.
