Section A: Overview

This section provides a general overview of the Scosche BTFREQ device.

Device Components:

1. LED Screen: Displays information such as frequency.
2. Multifunction Button/Knob (MFB/K): Used for various controls like play/pause, track skipping, volume adjustment, answering/ending calls, and voice assistant activation.
3. Microphone: For hands-free calls.
4. Channel Button: Used to tune the FM frequency.
5. 12V Plug: Connects to the car's 12V power socket.
6. 5V, 2.4A USB-C Charging Port: For charging devices.
7. 5V, 1A USB-A Charging Port: For charging devices.

Section B: Power Up & Bluetooth Pairing

Instructions for powering on the device and pairing it with your mobile device.

Plug the BTFREQ into your car's 12V power socket.
On your mobile device, go to Bluetooth settings and enable Bluetooth.
Find and select "Scosche BTFM8" from the list of available accessories.
Your phone will confirm when connected. Ensure your device's volume is set to maximum.

Section C: Connecting to your Car's Stereo

Tune the BTFREQ to your car's FM radio.

Find a weak FM station on your car radio with no active broadcast signal.
Press the "CH" button (4).
Turn the Multi-Function Button/Knob (2) left or right to tune the BTFREQ to match the frequency of your FM radio.
If you experience interference, repeat the steps to find a different clear station.

Section D: Reconnect to your Device

Instructions for reconnecting the BTFREQ to your mobile device.

Transmitter Off: The transmitter will automatically reconnect when powered on after initial pairing.
Transmitter On: To reconnect, tap the MFB/K (2) once.

Section E: Streaming Music

Control music playback from your phone using the BTFREQ controls.

Play/Pause: Tap the MFB/K (2) once.
Track Forward: Turn MFB/K (2) to the right.
Track Back: Turn MFB/K (2) to the left.
Volume Up: Turn and hold MFB/K (2) to the right.
Volume Down: Turn and hold MFB/K (2) to the left.

Section F: Making a Call

Make calls using your mobile phone; audio will stream through the BTFREQ.

Hang Up: Tap the MFB/K (2) once.
Redial Last Number: Double tap the MFB/K (2).

Section G: Receiving a Call

Handle incoming calls using the BTFREQ.

Phone call audio will come through the BTFREQ.
Answer Call: Press MFB/K (2) once.
End Call: Press MFB/K (2) once.
Reject Call: Press and hold MFB/K (2).

Section H: Voice Assistant Activation & Dual-Port USB Charger

Activate your smartphone's voice assistant and charge devices.

Voice Assistant Activation: Press and hold the Multifunction button (2) for 3 seconds to activate your smartphone's voice assistant.
Dual-Port USB Charger: The BTFREQ features a USB-C port (6) and a USB-A port (7) for charging devices while driving. Use appropriate cables (not included).

Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. The device can be used in portable exposure conditions without restriction.
