Shelly UNI Universal Wi-Fi Module
Initial Inclusion
Before installing or mounting the Shelly UNI device, ensure the electrical grid is powered off. The device supports various sensor connections, including DS18B20, DHT22, binary sensors (Reed switches), buttons, and switches. Wiring schemes for DC and AC power supplies are provided in the documentation.
Input Control: The device reads standard logical levels, independent of the applied voltage. For AC 12V-24V, voltage below 12V is read as logical "0" (LOW) and above 12V as logical "1" (HIGH). For DC 2.2V-36V, voltage below 2.2V is read as logical "0" (LOW) and above 2.2V as logical "1" (HIGH). The maximum allowed voltage is 36V DC / 24V AC.

Shelly Cloud Mobile Application and Registration
Users can choose to use Shelly devices with the Shelly Cloud mobile application for remote control and monitoring. The application is available for download on the App Store, Google Play, and Huawei AppGallery.
Registration: Upon first use of the Shelly Cloud app, create an account to manage all Shelly devices. In case of a forgotten password, use the registered email address to receive password reset instructions.
Device Inclusion Process
After installing the Shelly UNI and powering it on, it will create its own Wi-Fi Access Point (AP) with an SSID like 'shellyuni-XXXXXX'.
Step 1: Connect your phone, tablet, or PC to the Shelly UNI's Wi-Fi network.
Step 2: Open a web browser and navigate to 192.168.33.1 to access the device's web interface.
Step 3: Within the web interface, navigate to 'Settings' > 'WiFi' and enter the SSID and password of your local Wi-Fi network to connect the Shelly UNI.
Step 4: After successful connection to your local Wi-Fi network, the device will be discovered by the Shelly Cloud app. You will see a pop-up confirming the inclusion.
Step 5: In the Shelly Cloud app, go to 'Discovered Devices' and select the Shelly UNI to add it to your account. You can then assign it to a room and choose a device picture.
Step 6: Enter a name for the device, select a room, and optionally add a picture for easier recognition. Press "Save Device".
Step 7: To enable remote control via Shelly Cloud, press "YES" on the pop-up asking to connect to the cloud.
Shelly Device Settings
Once included, Shelly devices can be controlled and configured through the app. The device settings menu allows for renaming, changing rooms, and updating pictures. Advanced settings include:
- Timer: Set automatic power-on/off times.
- Auto OFF: Automatically shuts down the output after a set time.
- Auto ON: Automatically turns on the output after a set time.
- Weekly schedule: Create custom on/off schedules for specific days and times.
- Sunrise/Sunset: Automate actions based on local sunrise and sunset times.
- Power on default mode: Configure the output state upon receiving power (ON, OFF, or restore last state).
- Button Type: Define input behavior as momentary or toggle switch.
- Firmware update: Update the device firmware to the latest version.
- Factory reset: Reset the device to its factory default settings.
- Device information: View the device's unique ID and IP address.
Embedded Web Interface
The Shelly UNI can also be managed directly via its embedded web interface without the need for the mobile app. This interface provides access to:
- General Home Page: Displays device status, settings, and time.
- Internet & Security: Configure Wi-Fi settings and security options.
- External sensors: Set up temperature units and configure URL actions based on sensor readings.
- Settings: Manage device name, ADC range, and firmware.
- Channel Settings: Control and monitor individual output channels, including ON/OFF commands and button settings.
- Shelly Management Settings: Individually configure each Shelly device.
- Power On Default State: Define the default state of the output when power is restored.
- Auto ON/OFF: Configure automatic shut-down or turn-on timers.
- Manual Switch Type: Set the behavior of connected switches (momentary, toggle, edge).
- Sunrise/Sunset hours: Configure actions based on sunrise/sunset times.
- On/Off schedule: Set predefined schedules for device operation.
Note: If incorrect information is entered in the web interface, the device may become inaccessible, requiring a factory reset.
