Wiring Diagrams

The Shelly UNI supports various sensor inputs. Refer to the following diagrams for correct wiring:

  • fig. 1: Wiring of DS18B20 sensor
  • fig. 2: Wiring of DHT22 sensor
  • fig. 3A: Wiring of binary sensor (Reed Ampule) - DC power supply
  • fig. 3B: Wiring of binary sensor (Reed Ampule) - AC power supply
  • fig. 4A: Wiring of buttons and switches - DC power supply
  • fig. 4B: Wiring of buttons and switches - AC power supply
  • fig. 5: Wiring of load
  • fig. 6: Wiring of ADC

Note: Hazardous voltage presents on both sides of the product!

Control of Inputs

  • Reads standard logical levels, independent from the applied voltage on the inputs (potential free).
  • Cannot work with programmed limits of the levels as they are not ADC attached to the inputs.
  • AC Voltage: 12V up to 24V is measured as logical "1" (HIGH). Below 12V it is measured as logical "0" (LOW).
  • DC Voltage: 0.6V up to 36V is measured as logical "1" (HIGH). Below 0.6V it is measured as logical "0" (LOW).
  • Maximum allowed Voltage: 36V DC / 24V AC.

INTRODUCTION TO SHELLY®

Shelly® is a family of innovative devices that allow remote control of electric appliances via mobile phone, PC, or home automation system. Shelly® uses WiFi for connectivity and can operate standalone, within a local WiFi network, or via a cloud service from anywhere with Internet access. Each device has an integrated web server for adjustment, control, and monitoring. Shelly® supports both Access Point (AP) and Client Mode (CM). Shelly® devices can communicate directly with other WiFi devices via HTTP protocol. An API is available from the manufacturer. Remote access is possible as long as the WiFi router is connected to the Internet. The Shelly Cloud service can be activated via the device's web server or the Shelly Cloud mobile application. Users can register and access Shelly Cloud via Android or iOS mobile applications, or any internet browser at https://my.Shelly.cloud/.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

CAUTION! Danger of electrocution. Installation should be performed by a qualified person (electrician).

CAUTION! Even when the Device is turned off, voltage may be present across its clamps. Ensure all local power is disconnected before making any connection changes.

CAUTION! Do not connect the Device to appliances exceeding the given maximum load.

CAUTION! Connect the Device only as shown in these instructions. Other methods may cause damage or injury.

CAUTION! Read all accompanying documentation carefully before installation. Failure to follow recommended procedures could lead to malfunction, danger, or legal violation. Allterco Robotics is not responsible for loss or damage due to incorrect installation or operation.

CAUTION! Use the Device only with a power adapter that complies with all applicable regulations. A defective power adapter may damage the Device.

RECOMMENDATION! Connect and control electric circuits and appliances only if they comply with respective standards and safety norms.

INITIAL INCLUSION

Before installing/mounting, ensure the grid is powered off (breakers turned down).

  1. Connect the DS18B20 sensor to the device as shown in the diagrams.

Shelly Cloud provides the ability to control and adjust all Shelly® Devices from anywhere in the world with an internet connection and the mobile application. Download the Shelly Cloud app from Google Play or the App Store.

Registration

Create an account in the Shelly Cloud mobile app to manage your Shelly® devices. For password recovery, use the registered email address.

First Steps

After registration, create rooms to organize and add your Shelly devices.

Shelly Cloud allows creating scenes for automatic device operation based on predefined times or sensor parameters (e.g., temperature, humidity, light).

Device Inclusion

To add a new Shelly device:

  1. Install the device according to the Installation Instructions and power it on. Shelly will create its own WiFi Access Point (AP) with an SSID like `shellyuni-35FA58`.
  2. WARNING: If the AP is not visible, check the wiring or reset the device. To reset, power cycle the device and press the reset button until the LED turns on. Contact support@shelly.cloud if issues persist.
  3. Connect your phone, tablet, or PC to the Shelly WiFi network (e.g., `shellyuni-35FA58`).
  4. Open a web browser and navigate to `192.168.33.1` to access the Shelly web interface.
  5. Alternatively, use the Shelly Cloud app:
    • In the app, select "Add Device".
    • Enter your WiFi network name (SSID) and password.
    • The app will discover new devices on the local WiFi network.
    • Select the device from the "Discovered Devices" list.
    • Enter a Device Name, choose a Room, and optionally add a picture. Press "Save Device".
    • To enable remote control via Shelly Cloud, press "YES" when prompted.
