Introduction to Shelly
Shelly is a family of innovative devices that allow remote control of electrical appliances via mobile phone, PC, or home automation system. Shelly devices use WiFi to connect to controlling devices. They can be on the same WiFi network or use remote access (via the Internet). Shelly devices can operate autonomously, without a home automation controller, on the local WiFi network, or via a cloud service from anywhere with Internet access. Shelly devices have an integrated web server through which the user can adjust, control, and monitor the device. Shelly devices have two WiFi modes: Access Point (AP) and Client Mode (CM).
Shelly devices can communicate directly with other WiFi devices via HTTP protocol. An API may be provided by the manufacturer. Shelly devices can be available for monitoring and control even when the user is outside the local WiFi network range, as long as the WiFi router is connected to the Internet. The cloud function can be used, which is activated via the device's web server or via the Shelly Cloud mobile application settings. Users can register and access Shelly Cloud using the Android or iOS mobile applications, or any internet browser and the website: https://my.shelly.cloud/.
Controlling Your Home with Your Voice
All Shelly devices are compatible with Amazon Echo and Google Home. Please consult our step-by-step guide at: https://shelly.cloud/compatibility/Alexa and https://shelly.cloud/compatibility/Assistant.

Initial Inclusion
Before installing/mounting the device, ensure the power is off (circuit breakers closed).
Step 1: Install Shelly by following the wiring diagrams and place it in the console. After powering on, Shelly will create its own WiFi Access Point (AP).
ATTENTION! If the device has not created its own WiFi AP with SSID like 'shellyuni-35FA58', please check if the device is connected according to the installation instructions. If you still do not see an active WiFi network with the SSID 'shellyuni-35FA58', or you want to add the device to another WiFi network, reset the device. If the device was powered on, you need to restart it by turning it off and then on again. Power on the Shelly UNI and press the reset button until the board's indicator light turns on. Otherwise, please repeat or contact our customer service at: support@shelly.cloud.
Step 2: Choose 'Add device'. To add more devices later, use the application menu in the top right corner of the main screen and click 'Add device'. Enter the WiFi network name (SSID) and password to which you want to add the device.
Step 3:
- If using iOS (left screenshot): Press the Home button on your iPhone/iPad/iPod. Open Settings > WiFi and connect to the WiFi network created by Shelly, e.g., 'shellyuni-35FA58'.
- If using Android (right screenshot): Your phone/tablet will automatically scan and include all new Shelly devices on the WiFi network you are connected to.
Once device inclusion to the WiFi network is successful, you will see the following pop-up window.
Step 4: Approximately 30 seconds after discovering any new device on the local WiFi network, a list will be displayed by default in the 'Discovered Devices' room.
Step 5: Enter Discovered Devices and choose the device you want to include in your account.
Step 6: Enter a name for the device (in the 'Device Name' field). Choose a room where the device should be placed. You can choose an icon or add an image to make it easier to recognize. Press 'Save Device'.
Step 7: To enable connection to the Shelly Cloud service for remote control and monitoring of the device, press 'YES' in the following pop-up window.
Shelly Device Settings
