Troubleshooting
Check the countermeasures for each symptom listed below. If problems persist, contact the Customer Care Centre.
Symptoms | Possible Solutions |
---|---|
No power | Check power cord is plugged in and outlet works. Unplug and replug after 60 seconds, then restart TV. |
No picture | Check antenna connection. Tune to another station if experiencing issues. Adjust contrast and brightness settings. |
Good picture but no sound | Increase volume. Check if TV is muted (press MUTE). Check sound settings. If using external devices, check their volumes. Ensure AVI/Component cables are connected properly. If using DVI to HDMI, an audio cable is required. Ensure headphone jack is not connected. |
Good sound but abnormal color or no picture | Check antenna connection and condition. For Component input, check connections; incorrect or loose connections may cause color problems or a blank screen. |
No response to remote control | Check/replace remote control batteries. Clean remote control lens. Ensure distance is within 8m and path is clear. |
Colored dots may be present on the screen | This is a structural property of the LED screen (e.g., black dots or bright points) and not a malfunction. |
Picture is breaking up | Keep TV away from noisy electrical sources. Electrical atmospheric interference (lightning) may cause issues. Leave space between optional equipment and TV. Check antenna and connection. Keep antenna away from power/input/output cables. |
After Auto Tuning only some channels are available | Check area coverage for Digital Video Broadcasts. Retune or manually tune missing channels. Ensure correct antenna type is used. |
Channel cannot be selected | Check if the channel is blocked in main menu settings. |
USB not playing | Check USB cable and power supply. Ensure hard drive is formatted (FAT32 supported). Check USB disk compatibility and multimedia data format support. |
Picture is distorted, macroblock, small block, dots, pixelization, etc | Video content compression, especially on fast-moving pictures, may cause distortion. |
Noise from speaker | Check cable connections; ensure a video cable is not connected to an audio input. Low signal level may cause sound distortion. |
TV turns off automatically | Check if Off Timer or Sleep Timer is enabled in Setup menu. TV may turn off if no signal for 10 minutes. |
TV turns on automatically | Check if On Timer is set to On in the Setup menu. |
Picture is not shown in full screen | Black bars may appear on HD channels (SD 4:3 content) or on movies with different aspect ratios. Adjust picture size option on the external device or TV. |
