Programming Procedures
2 Key Programming Procedure
This procedure requires two functional keys for the vehicle.
- Step 1-3: Press and hold the programming button on the module. Connect the 4-Pin Data-Link harness (black connector). The Blue, Red, Yellow, and Blue & Red LEDs will illuminate alternately. Release the programming button when the RED LED is solid. If the RED LED is not solid, disconnect the Data-Link connector and return to Step 1.
- Step 4: Insert the remaining required connectors.
- Step 5: Turn the first key to the Ignition ON/RUN position. Wait 3 seconds.
- Step 6: Turn the key to the OFF position and remove the first key.
- Step 7: Turn the second key to the Ignition ON/RUN position. Wait 3 seconds.
- Step 8: Turn the key to the OFF position and remove the second key.
- Step 9 (Critical Timing): Within 5 seconds, press and hold the programming button until the RED LED flashes once (1x). Release the programming button.
- Step 10 (Transmission Type):
- Automatic Transmission: Activate the remote starter. The RED LED will flash rapidly ten (10) times.
- Manual Transmission: Using a jumper wire, apply 12V power to the vehicle's ignition (Ignition1). The RED LED will flash rapidly ten (10) times. After programming, remove the jumper wire.
- Step 11: If the RED LED is solid after the flashing sequence, disconnect the 4-Pin Data-Link connector and return to Step 1. Otherwise, the module is now programmed.
Testing: Use the remote starter or security system remote to test all supported features to ensure proper programming.
DCryptor Programming Procedure
This procedure requires specific software and hardware tools:
- Required Parts (not included): FLASH LINK UPDATER, FLASH LINK MOBILE, or FLASH LINK MANAGER.
- Software/Connection: A Microsoft Windows computer with internet connection, OR a Smartphone (Android/iOS) with internet connection (provider charges may apply) and the FLASH LINK MOBILE APP.
Before Programming: Set the unit options and save them.
- Step 1-3: Press and hold the programming button. Insert the 4-Pin Data-Link connector. The Blue, Yellow, Red, and Blue & Red LEDs will illuminate alternately.
