Fortin EVO-ALL Installation Guide for Ford GT (2005-2008)
This guide provides instructions for installing and programming the Fortin EVO-ALL interface module in a Ford GT vehicle.
Regular Installation
Vehicle Compatibility: Ford GT (2005-2006)
Firmware Version: Minimum 71.[52] required. Use the FLASH LINK UPDATER or FLASH LINK MOBILE tool (sold separately) to update firmware and options.
Mandatory Installation: The hood pin switch must be installed if the vehicle can be remote started with the hood open. This is an essential security element.
Warning: This module must be installed by a qualified technician. Incorrect connections can cause permanent damage to the vehicle.
Wiring Diagram - Automatic Transmission
This section details the wiring connections for automatic transmission vehicles. Key connections include:
- Remote Starter Connections: STARTER (+), IGNITION (+), ACCESSORY (+), 12V BATTERY (+), Ground.
- Vehicle Connections: HOOD (-), HAND BRAKE (-), TACHOMETER (+/-), FOOT BRAKE (+), GROUND OUT WHILE RUNNING (-), TRUNK (-), DOOR (-), UNLOCK (-), LOCK (-).
- Data-Link Connections: For vehicles with Data-Link, direct connection is used. For vehicles without Data-Link, specific wires (Red, Black, Blue, White) need to be cut or connected as per the diagram.
The diagram illustrates connections to various vehicle points, including junction boxes, transponder connectors, ignition switches, and starter switches, using specific pin numbers and connector colors (White 32-pin, Green 4-pin, Black 7-pin, Black 2-pin).
Programming Procedures
Program.1: 2 Key Programming Procedure
This procedure requires 2 keys.
- Step 1-2: Press and hold the programming button while connecting the 4-pin Data-Link harness (black connector). LEDs (Blue, Yellow, Red, Blue & Red) will illuminate alternately. Release the button when the RED LED is solid. If not solid RED, disconnect and restart from Step 1.
- Step 3: Insert remaining connectors.
- Step 4-5: Turn the first key to IGNITION ON/RUN, wait 3 seconds. Turn the key OFF, remove the first key.
- Step 6-7: Turn the second key to IGNITION ON/RUN, wait 3 seconds. Turn the key OFF, remove the second key.
- Step 8: Within 5 seconds, press and hold the programming button until the RED LED flashes once. Release the button.
- Step 9: For Automatic Transmission: Activate the remote starter. For Manual Transmission: Use a jumper wire to apply 12V to the vehicle's ignition1. The RED LED will flash rapidly 10 times. If the LED is solid RED, disconnect and restart.
The module is now programmed. Test all supported features using the remote starter or security system remote.
Key Bypass Programming Procedure
This procedure involves programming the key bypass function.
- Steps 1-5 (Dcryptor Programming): Similar to 2 Key Programming, involving pressing/releasing the programming button and turning the key to IGNITION ON/RUN, observing LED indicators (RED, YELLOW).
- Steps 6-10 (Key Bypass): Further steps involving turning the key to OFF, removing the key, and observing LED behavior (RED, YELLOW alternating or flashing).
- Step 11: Disconnect all connectors, including the Data-Link (4-pin).
- Step 12: Use the FLASH LINK UPDATER or FLASH LINK MOBILE tool with a Windows computer or smartphone to visit the DCryptor menu.
- Step 13: After DCryptor programming is complete, reconnect the 4-Pin (Data-Link) connector and all other connectors to the EVO-ALL module.
Remote Starter / Alarm Verification: Test the remote starter by performing a remote start of the vehicle.
Remote Starter Functionality
To use the remote starter:
- Ensure all doors are closed.
- Initiate remote start using the vehicle's remote or the remote starter's remote.
- Unlock the doors using the remote.
- Insert and turn the key to the IGNITION ON/RUN position.
- Press the brake pedal.
- The vehicle is now ready to be put into gear and driven.
