Addendum - Suggested Wiring Configuration
Vehicle Compatibility
This guide provides installation instructions for the Fortin EVO-ALL interface module for the following vehicles:
- Chevrolet Cobalt: 2005-2010
- Chevrolet HHR: 2006-2011
The module supports key vehicle functions, including immobilizer bypass, door lock/unlock, arm/disarm, trunk release, tachometer, door status, trunk status, hand-brake status, and foot-brake status.
Firmware and Tools
The current firmware version is 70.[18]. For firmware updates and additional options, use the separate FLASH LINK UPDATER or FLASH LINK MOBILE tool.
Programmable Bypass Options
The module offers programmable bypass options:
- D2: Unlock before / Lock after (Disarms OEM alarm).
- A7: Foot Brake (output status), specifically for vehicles with automatic transmission.
Mandatory Installation Component: Hood Pin
The hood pin switch is a mandatory safety element and must be installed. If the vehicle is capable of remote starting with the hood open, function A11 should be set to OFF.

Connection Points Overview
Key connection points for the module are located at:
- Ignition Connector: V DATA, (+) IGNITION, (+) ACCESSORY
- Transponder Connector: (+) 12V IMMO
- BCM (Passenger side center console): (+) FOOT BRAKE, DATA KEY LESS
Wiring Diagram and Connections
The wiring diagram illustrates the connections between the EVO-ALL module and the vehicle's electrical system. Key connections include:
- Inputs: Hood Status (A15), Hand Brake Status (A14), Trunk Release (A13), Tachometer (A12), Foot Brake (RS13), Ground While Running (A8), Trunk Status (A5), Door Status (A4), Unlock (A3), Lock (A2), 12V Battery (RS1), Ground (RS1).
- Outputs: Remote Starter (RS11), Ignition (RS12), Accessory (RS5), Parking Lights (RS4).
- Data-Link: Connections are differentiated for systems with or without Data-Link.
- CAN Bus: Connections for CAN SW, CAN HIGH, CAN LOW (C5, C4, C3).
- Immobilizer: (+) 12V Immo connections (D6, D5).
Specific vehicle connectors involved are the 72-pin white connector at the BCM (C2), the 41-pin red connector at the BCM (C3), the 6-pin green connector at the ignition harness, and the 5-pin white connector at the transponder. The OBDII connector is also utilized.
Note: Special connection procedures are required for vehicles equipped with the PK3 immobilizer system.
Programming Procedure
Follow these steps to program the Fortin EVO-ALL module:
- Press and hold the programming button. Connect the 4-PIN Data-link harness (Black connector). Observe the LEDs; Blue, Red, Yellow, and Blue & Red LEDs will illuminate sequentially.
- Release the programming button when the BLUE LED is solid. If the BLUE LED is not solid, disconnect the 4-pin connector and return to step 1.
- Insert all other required connectors.
- Turn the vehicle key to the Ignition ON/RUN position. The YELLOW LED will illuminate.
- Start the vehicle and hold the CRANK position for 3 seconds. The YELLOW LED will turn OFF, and the RED LED will turn ON.
- Release the key from the CRANK/START position to the ON/RUN position. The RED LED will turn OFF, and the BLUE LED will flash rapidly.
- Turn the key to the OFF position. The LED will turn OFF. The module is now programmed.
