The remote control allows you to:

Upgrade to the rechargeable Easy Find Remote Control or the Point Anywhere RF Remote Control for more convenience. Learn more at att.com/remotes.

Your remote can control up to four devices

Your remote can control your AT&T HD-ready receiver, TV, DVD player, stereo receiver, or home theater system. Program your remote by pressing MENU, navigating to Help, and selecting Remote Control Setup.

One DVR, one experience, any receiver

Your AT&T U-verse HD-ready receiver with Total Home DVR® allows you to:

Pause, fast-forward, and rewind live TV from any receiver

Your Total Home DVR stores up to 60 minutes of live TV. You can rewind live TV by pressing REW and freeze live TV for up to 60 minutes by pressing PAUSE (press PLAY to restart).

Record the program you're watching from any receiver

Press RECORD on your remote to begin recording. The Record light remains lit until recording stops. Press STOP to end recording at any time.

Schedule program or series recordings from the Guide

Press GUIDE, use UP/DOWN ARROWS to select a program. Press RECORD once for a single show, twice for a series, or three times to cancel.

Search for a show or series you want to record

Press MENU, select Live, then Search. Use ARROWS to highlight letters to spell the title or actor's name. Press OK after each letter. Use 123 for numbers. Highlight the desired show and press INFO to record.

Watch your recordings from any receiver

Press RECORDED TV, select Browse Recordings. Highlight a show, press OK, then select Play.

To get started: 1. Visit Uverse.com. 2. Log on with your AT&T primary member ID (email address) and password.

AT&T U-verse on your smartphone or tablet

Use the free U-verse app to enjoy live TV channels or access thousands of hit TV shows On Demand. Manage your DVR, browse the guide, watch shows, and use your device as a remote control. Tablet users also get a free subscription to UGUIDE Magazine.

Link your smartphone or tablet to your TV and:

To get started: 1. Download the U-verse app from iTunes or Google Play. 2. Log on with your AT&T primary member ID (email address) and password.

Find shows fast with Channel Shortcuts

Browse channels by category. Access via MENU > Live > Channel Shortcuts, or from the Guide screen by pressing ENTER.

How to use Parental Controls

Restrict viewing by TV or movie rating, adult-only content, or rentals. Set a four-digit PIN via MENU > Options > Parental Locking.

Optimize your TV experience

Customize your Guide screen view, channels, language, sound settings, and more. Access Options via MENU > Options or while watching live TV by pressing ENTER.

On Demand

AT&T U-verse On Demand is like an entertainment superstore. Watch what you love, whenever you want. Features include:

Press On Demand on your remote to get started. Tune to Channel 200 for behind-the-scenes features and movie trailers.

Rent Movies On Demand with U-verse Movies

U-verse Movies offers the newest releases. Rentals are typically for 24-hour or up to three-day time frames. Many are available in HD.

To browse: 1. Press On Demand, select U-verse Movies, press OK. 2. Browse categories or All Movies. 3. Select a movie, press OK (enter PIN if needed), select Rent, press OK. 4. Confirm to begin.

Press INFO while browsing to see program details and rent.

Search by title or name

1. Press On Demand, select Search, press OK. 2. Use ARROWS to spell title/actor, press OK after each letter. 3. Highlight program, press OK. 4. Select Rent, press OK to confirm.

To return to live TV, press EXIT TO TV.

Watch On Demand programs

Rentals are available anytime during the rental period. To watch: 1. Press On Demand, select My Videos. 2. Select video, press OK. The show pauses automatically if you switch channels and can be resumed later.

On Demand billing: Rentals are added to your AT&T U-verse bill. They cannot be canceled after ordering.

Set limits on who can rent or watch On Demand shows

Use Parental Locking options. See "How to use Parental Controls" on page 8.

Money-saving Movie Coupons

Find coupons on Ch. 200 (SD)/Ch. 1200 (HD) or at uverseonline.att.net/uverse/movie-coupons. Enter the coupon code before purchasing.

On Demand categories

Includes Premium On Demand (if subscribed to packages like HBO®, STARZ®, SHOWTIME®), Free On Demand, and Subscription On Demand.

Help On Demand

Access help videos via On Demand. Press On Demand, select Help/Ayuda, choose Help in English or Ayuda en Espaol.

Pay Per View

Order one-time events up to 14 days in advance. Events are shown at scheduled times and cannot be canceled.

How to order: Use channel numbers 100-106 (SD) or 1102-1103 (HD). Press OK to select, then OK to rent (enter PIN if needed). Press EXIT TO TV to return.

Note: You cannot rewind Pay Per View events.

Pay Per View billing: Orders are automatically added to your AT&T U-verse bill.

Set limits on who can rent or watch Pay Per View

Use Parental locking options. Select Options > Parental Locking, enter PIN, and choose what to block.

Access your TV's interactive features

Use the Go Interactive button or MENU > Interactive > Interactive Apps.

Caller ID notifications on TV

See who's calling on your TV screen without changing the channel. Tune to Channel 9900 to manage this feature.

Go "Wi-Fi" instructions: Locate your Wi-Fi Network Name (SSID) and Wi-Fi Password from your Starter Kit or Wireless Gateway. Configure your Wi-Fi network by going to your computer's "Wireless Network Settings," refreshing the list, selecting your SSID, and entering the Wi-Fi Password.

Assure reliable security for your Wi-Fi home network

The 10-digit Wi-Fi Password (Wireless Network Key) is needed to connect computers. WPA is the security technology used.

Location of your gateway's 10-digit Wireless Network Key code: Printed inside brackets on your residential/Wi-Fi Gateway. Also found on the side of your Wireless Gateway.

Mac® OS X users: May need to enter the "$" character for the Wireless Network Key. Visit att.com/wifisupport for Mac connection directions.

Connect more computers to your Wi-Fi home network

Connect via Ethernet cable or wirelessly with a wireless-enabled notebook or computer.

Note: You will need your 10-digit Wireless Network Key code. (See illustration above.)

If your PC does not have built-in wireless capability, install and configure your wireless adapter according to the manufacturer's instructions. Enter the Wi-Fi Network Name (SSID) and Wi-Fi Password (Wireless Network Key).

AT&T U-verse Voice

User Guide

Important information

AT&T U-verse Voice, including 911 dialing, requires battery backup power to function during an outage. It is compatible with many monitored home alarms and medical monitoring systems.

Manage Phone Features online at att.com/myatt. Click Home Phone, then "Manage Voice Features". Manage Voicemail Features via "Check Voicemail" and "Voicemail Settings".

  1. Go to att.com/myatt, select AT&T U-verse, log in.
  2. On the Account Overview page, click Home Phone.
  3. On the Home Phone Service page, click Manage Features.
  4. Go to the Voicemail Settings tab, select Voicemail Setup, and follow instructions.

AT&T U-verse TV Troubleshooting

Don't have picture or sound, but TV and receiver are both turned on?

1. Press TV on your remote. 2. Press TV/VIDEO to see TV programming.

If still having trouble, try resetting your TV receiver or residential/wireless gateway by unplugging it from the power outlet. Note: This will interrupt any recordings in progress.

Change your TV's screen resolution

1. Press MENU, select Options > System Options, press OK. 2. Select TV Screen Resolution (HD/SD), press OK. 3. Use ARROWS to select desired resolution (Standard Definition, Widescreen Standard Definition, 720p High Definition, or 1080i High Definition), press OK. 4. Select Continue, press OK to access Test Screen. 5. Select Start Test, press OK, and follow prompts to verify. Save format.

Program your remote to control up to four devices

Your remote can control your AT&T U-verse receiver, TV, DVD player, stereo receiver, or home theater system. Program devices by pressing and holding the mode key (TV, DVD, AUX) and ENTER key simultaneously. Search for the device by pressing SCAN/FF repeatedly until the device turns OFF. Press POWER to turn the device back on. Press ENTER to save programming.

Change your TV's input selection to match its video source

If you can't see TV programs, try pressing the TV/VIDEO button to change inputs (Video 1, Video 2, Video 3). Ensure the input matches the source (receiver, DVD player). If issues persist, check device connections. Use HDMI for the highest quality video/audio. Component RCA cables (red/green/blue) are also supported for HD. Composite (yellow), S-Video, or Coaxial do not provide HD pictures.

Many TVs have auto-detection for connected equipment. If not, manually configure video input selection via the TV's menu.

Check device connections: Use HDMI to HDMI for the best connection. Component RCA cables are also an option. Ensure audio/video RCA inputs match.
