Changing the Battery
The remote control uses a 3V CR2032 lithium battery.
- Open the small compartment located on the back of the remote control.
- Replace the old battery with a new 3V CR2032 battery.
Warning: Risk of explosion if the battery is not replaced correctly. Replace only with the same type or an equivalent type.
Pairing and Control
Linking the Remote Control with a DiO 1.0 Receiver
This process associates the remote control with a DiO 1.0 module, socket, or bulb.
- Connect the DiO 1.0 receiver (module, socket, or bulb) to its power source.
- Bring the remote control close to the receiver. Press and hold the receiver's learn button (refer to the receiver's manual; its LED indicator will flash).
- Press the 'I' [ON] button on the remote control to initiate the link.
- The lamp connected to the receiver will flash twice to confirm the successful association, and the receiver's LED will stop flashing.
This product is compatible with all DiO 1.0 peripherals and the DiO Smart Home hub for control via smartphone.
Deleting the Link Between the Remote Control and a DiO Receiver
Use this function if the remote control's memory is full or you wish to remove a paired receiver.
- Bring the remote control close to the receiver you wish to delete. Press and hold the receiver's learn button (refer to the specific receiver's manual; its LED indicator will flash).
- Press the 'O' [OFF] button on the remote control.
- The lamp connected to the receiver will flash twice to confirm the deletion, and the receiver's LED will stop flashing.
Using the Remote Control
The remote control offers individual and group control functions.
Individual Control (Channels 1 to 16)
- ON/OFF: Press the 'I' [ON] button once to turn on your device (light, shutter, etc.), or press the 'O' [OFF] button once to turn it off.
- Dimmer Function (for compatible dimmer modules, sockets, or bulbs): Press the 'I' [ON] button twice. The brightness will start to increase or decrease. Press 'I' [ON] again to stop the dimming at the desired level. When you turn off the light using the 'O' [OFF] button, the last selected brightness level will be saved in the receiver's memory.
Group Function (Channels 1 to 4)
Press the 'I' [ON] or 'O' [OFF] button on the 'G' [GROUP] channel to turn all registered lamps or devices on or off simultaneously.
Changing Channels
Use the small ABCD knob located on the bottom of the remote control to access channels 5 through 16 (channels 1-4 are typically used for group control and individual devices).
DiO 1.0 receivers can be controlled individually or in combination with other receivers. For example, a DiO switch could close a shutter linked to a shutter module and simultaneously turn on a light connected to a lighting module, while the DiO remote control can manage these individually.
Troubleshooting
Receiver Not Activated When Remote is Pressed
- Check the battery polarity and ensure it is not depleted.
- Verify that the remote control is correctly linked to the receiver and that the receiver is properly connected to its power source.
- Check the status of the receiver's memory (refer to the receiver's manual).
Important Notes:
- The transmission range between the receiver and the remote control is up to 50 meters (approx. 164 feet) in open field conditions. This range can be reduced by thick walls or existing wireless interference.
- Maintain a minimum distance of 1-2 meters (approx. 3-6 feet) between two DiO receivers (module, socket, and/or bulb) to prevent interference.
- Do not use the remote control or receivers in damp environments.
