1. Installing the Lighting Module

!! Warning !! Disconnect the power supply before carrying out any work. If you have any doubts about your installation, please consult your electrician.

You can use non-dimmable incandescent, halogen, LED, or ECO bulbs with this module.

Connecting the Module to Your Lighting

This process involves wiring the module between your power source and the light fixture.

  1. Switch off the power supply.
  2. Remove the 230V AC live and neutral wires connected to your existing light.
  3. Connect the module to the power supply: connect the 230V AC live wire (typically brown/red) to terminal 'L' on the module, and the neutral wire (typically blue) to terminal 'N' on the outside of the module.
  4. Connect the module to the light fixture: connect the live wire going to the light (typically brown/red) to terminal 'Lâ' on the module, and the neutral wire (typically blue) to terminal 'N' on the inside of the module.
  5. Tighten the screws for all 4 terminals securely.
  6. Reconnect the power supply.

Installing the Wireless Switch

This section describes how to mount the wireless switch.

  1. Remove the front panel of the switch to ensure the battery is correctly inserted and to access the wall-mounting screws.
  2. Attach the base of the switch to the wall using the provided screws or double-sided stickers.
  3. Attach the front panel to the base. Ensure the correct orientation, noting the "UP" indicator (marked as 'á' in diagrams).

2. Linking the Module with a DiO 1.0 Device

This product is compatible with all DiO 1.0 devices, including remote controls, wireless switches, detectors, and the DiO Smart Home hub for smartphone control.

Using the DiO hub, you can control your home from anywhere via your smartphone and make your DiO 1.0 module compatible with DiO 2.0 devices. For more information, visit www.getDiO.com.

2.1 Linking the Module with a Remote Control, Switch, or Detector

Follow these steps to pair your module with a DiO 1.0 control device.

  1. Connect your lighting module to the power supply.
  2. Bring the DiO 1.0 switch (or other control device) close to the module. Press the module's learning button once. The module's LED will begin to flash slowly.
  3. Within 12 seconds, press the 'I' (ON) button on the wireless switch or remote control.
  4. The module's LED will flash twice to confirm the successful link and then turn off.

Warning: If you do not press the 'ON' button of the device within 12 seconds, the module will exit learning mode. You must restart the procedure to link the device with the module.

The module can be linked with up to 32 different DiO devices. If the memory is full, adding the 33rd device will automatically delete the 1st device added.

2.2 Linking the Module to the DiO Hub

Link your lighting module to your DiO Smart Home hub unit to control your lighting with your smartphone. This allows you to create custom scenarios, such as turning lights on/off at specific times or simulating presence when you are away. Refer to your hub's manual for instructions on adding the module.

3. Deleting a DiO 1.0 Device

If you wish to remove a previously linked device:

  1. Bring the device you want to delete close to the module. Press the module's learning button; the LED will begin to flash slowly.
  2. Within 12 seconds, press the 'OFF' ('O') button on the device you wish to delete. The module's LED will flash twice to confirm the deletion.

4. Resetting the Module

To delete all registered devices and restore the module to its factory settings:

  1. Press and hold the module's learning button for 6 seconds. The LED will start to flash continuously.
  2. Release the button and then press it again briefly.

5. Usage

On/Off Function: Press the 'I' button once to turn the connected light on, or press the 'O' button once to turn it off.

The module can be controlled individually or in conjunction with other DiO receivers. For example, a DiO switch could close a shutter linked to a DiO module and simultaneously turn on a lamp connected to this lighting module. A DiO remote control can turn the lamp on and off individually.

6. Troubleshooting

The lighting does not come on when pressing the remote control or switch, or when the detector is activated:

  • Check that the module has been installed correctly and is properly connected to the power supply.
  • Verify the polarity of the battery(ies) in the control device and ensure they are not depleted.
  • Make sure that the control device is successfully linked to the module.

Important Notes:

  • A minimum distance of 1-2 meters is necessary between two DiO receivers (module, socket, and/or bulb) to ensure optimal performance.
  • The transmission range between the module and the DiO control device may be reduced by the thickness of walls or the presence of existing wireless interference.

Warning: Do not use in a damp location.
