Fortin EVO-ALL Installation Guide for Volkswagen Jetta GLI (2011-2019)
This guide provides detailed instructions for installing the Fortin EVO-ALL module in a Volkswagen Jetta GLI with an automatic transmission.

To update firmware and options, use the FLASH LINK UPDATER or FLASH LINK MOBILE tool (sold separately).

Programming Bypass Options

- Program bypass option (if equipped with OEM alarm): D2 (Unlock before / Lock after)
- Program bypass option (if vehicle not equipped with functional hood pin): A11 (Hood trigger output status)
Notes
The vehicle's OEM remote will operate while the engine is running.
Mandatory Installation
Hood Pin
The hood pin switch must be installed. If the vehicle can be remote started with the hood open, set function A11 to OFF.
Notice: The installation of safety elements, including the hood pin, is mandatory.
Warning: This module must be installed by a qualified technician. Incorrect connections can cause permanent damage to the vehicle.

Stand Alone Configuration
OEM Remote Stand Alone Remote Starter: Program bypass option D1.1 (Lock, Unlock, Lock)
Program bypass option with OEM remote: C1 (OEM Remote Monitoring)
Program bypass option with RF KIT antenna: H1 to H6 (Supported RF Kits and select RF Kit)
Remote Starter Functionality
To start the vehicle:
- Ensure all doors are closed.
- Press the OEM remote's Lock, Unlock, Lock buttons consecutively.
- The vehicle will start.
To stop the vehicle: Press the OEM remote's Lock, Unlock, Lock buttons consecutively.
Remote Starter Diagnostics (Module RED LED):
- x2 flash: Brake ON
- x3 flash: No tach
- x4 flash: Ignition detected before start
- x5 flash: Hood Open
DCRYPTOR Programming Procedure
Parts Required: FLASH LINK UPDATER, FLASH LINK MANAGER, FLASH LINK MOBILE, FLASH LINK MOBILE APP, Windows Computer or Smartphone.
- Close and open the driver door.
- Press and hold the programming button. Connect the 4-PIN Data-link harness. LEDs will illuminate.
- Release the programming button when the Blue LED is ON. If not solid Blue, restart the process.
- Connect remaining harnesses.
- Turn the key to the Ignition ON/RUN position.
- Press and release the programming button once. The Blue LED will turn off.
- Wait for the Red LED to turn ON. Release the programming button.
- Wait without touching the vehicle or module. Blue, Red, and Yellow LEDs will alternate.
- Wait for the Red LED to turn ON.
- Wait for Red and Yellow LEDs to slowly alternate. If Red LED flashes slowly, programming failed; restart from step 1.
- Turn the key to the OFF position.
- Disconnect all connectors, including the Data-Link connector.
- Use the FLASH LINK UPDATER or FLASH LINK MOBILE tool to visit the DCRYPTOR menu.
- After DCRYPTOR programming is complete, reconnect the Data-Link connector and all other harnesses.
- Programming Complete: RED and YELLOW LEDs stay OFF.
- Turn the key to the Ignition ON/RUN position.
- The Yellow LED will turn OFF.
- Turn the key to the OFF position.
- Module is now programmed.
Note: If programming is interrupted, the vehicle may not start normally. Disconnect and reconnect the vehicle battery to correct the situation.
Optional RF-Kit Programming
Program bypass option: H2
Supported RF-KITS: H2 Fortin 2
Optional Fortin RF Kit Series 4 or Series 9 Programming: Follow on-screen instructions for the specific RF kit model.
Remote Starter / Alarm Verification Procedure
Test the remote starter. Remote start the vehicle.
