To update firmware and options, use the FLASH LINK UPDATER or FLASH LINK MOBILE tool (sold separately).
Bypass Option Programming
Program bypass option using the following unit options:
- C1: OEM Remote status (Lock/Unlock) monitoring
- A5 (OFF): Analog Door lock control
- D5: Lock after start
- D6: Push-to-Start

- 1x Diode (manual transmission)
Notes
- The vehicle's OEM remote will remain functional when the vehicle is running. However, the intelligent access key will not unlock doors while the vehicle is running.
- 1 Key Required for Installation.
Mandatory Installation
- Hood Status: The hood pin switch (included) must be installed. If the vehicle can be remote started with the hood open, set Function A11 to OFF.
- Security Sticker: Installation of safety elements, including the hood pin and security sticker, is mandatory.
Important Warnings
- This module must be installed by a qualified technician. Incorrect connections can cause permanent damage to the vehicle.

Wiring Connections
Detailed wiring diagrams are provided for both Automatic and Manual Transmissions. Key connection points include:
- BCM (Body Control Module): Connectors located under the steering column.
- OBD-II Connector: For diagnostic and programming.
- Ignition Harness: Connections for ignition, start/stop, CAN bus, etc.
- Parking Lights, 12V, Ground: Connections to vehicle power and lighting systems.
- Door Lock/Unlock, Trunk Release: Connections for vehicle access control.
Refer to the specific diagrams for wire colors and pin assignments.
Key Control Installation
Method 1 (Without Transponder Antenna Ring):
- Remove the battery from one OEM remote.
- Wrap the antenna wire 5 to 10 times around the vehicle key or valet key.
- Make 3 to 5 loops in front of the key detector inside the steering column cover.
Method 2 (With Transponder Antenna Ring - Part #: AR35, sold separately):
- Remove the battery from one OEM remote.
- Wrap the antenna wire 5 to 10 times around the vehicle key or valet key.
- Remove the adhesive from the antenna ring and stick it onto the key detector inside the steering column cover.

Key Bypass Programming Procedure
- Press and hold the programming button on the 6-Pin Main connector. The LEDs will alternate between BLUE, RED, YELLOW, and BLUE/RED flashes.
- Release the programming button when the BLUE LED is ON.
- Insert the required remaining connectors.
- Do not press the brake pedal. Press the Push-to-Start button once to turn on the ignition. The BLUE LED will flash rapidly.
- Press the Push-to-Start button once to turn off the ignition. The BLUE LED will turn off.
The module is now programmed.
Remote Starter Functionality
- Preparation: Ensure all doors are closed.
- Remote Start: Start the vehicle using the OEM remote or the remote-starter remote.
- Unlock Doors: Unlock the doors using either the OEM remote or the remote-starter remote.
- Enter Vehicle: Enter the vehicle with the Intelligent SmartKey on your person.
- Driving: The vehicle is now ready to be put into gear and driven.

Updated firmware and installation guides are available on the Fortin website. It is recommended to update the module to the latest firmware and download the latest installation guides before installation.
