The Kasa Smart Bulb is part of the Kasa smart home family, offering features like brightness adjustment, energy consumption tracking, scheduling, timers, sunrise alarms, and group control for creating scenes. Transform your home into a smart home with the Kasa Smart app or voice commands via Alexa, Google Assistant, or SmartThings.
No Hub Required: Installs like an ordinary bulb. Download the Kasa Smart app and connect to Wi-Fi.

Set Up Your Smart Bulb
Follow these steps to set up your smart bulb using the Kasa Smart app.
Step 1. Download Kasa
Get the Kasa Smart app from the App Store or Google Play.

Step 2. Connect to Network
Connect your mobile device to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.

Step 3. Add Devices
Tap the [+] button in the Kasa app and select 'Device' to add your new Kasa smart bulb. Follow the app instructions to complete the setup.

Main Device Control
After setup, the Kasa app's 'Devices' page allows you to add new devices, control multiple devices in groups, and configure account settings.
Devices Page
Instantly turn the bulb on/off, adjust brightness, or change colors (for KL130 / KL125).

Add a Group
On the 'Devices' page, tap [+] then 'Group' to control multiple devices simultaneously.

Configure Kasa Settings
Swipe right on the 'Devices' page to access Kasa account settings and information.

Configure Your Smart Bulb
From the 'Devices' page, tap a smart bulb to access its settings. You can adjust light temperature or color (KL130/KL125), brightness, schedules, track energy usage, and configure other bulb settings. The following examples use KL130.
Power On/Off At One Tap
Quickly power your smart bulb on or off with a single button on the Smart Bulb page.

Adjust Brightness
Dim your smart bulb from 1% to 100%.

Device Settings
Configure device settings and check device information.

Create Scenes
A scene is a preset group of smart devices that can be programmed, customized, and activated simultaneously. This allows you to easily set your mood, activity, or fit any special occasion, making your smart home devices act automatically.
Create New Scenes
On the 'Scenes' page, tap [+] to create new scenes.

Set Scenes
Define what you want your bulb to do when a scene is run.

Edit Scenes
Tap a scene to activate it or edit its settings at any time.

Reset Your Smart Bulb
Two reset types are available: Soft Reset (Wi-Fi settings only) and Factory Reset (all custom settings).
Soft Reset
Turn the light switch controlling the bulb to the OFF position.
Flip the light switch on and off 5 times (approx. 1 second duration each). Stop when the light is on for the third time. Three blinks indicate a successful soft reset.
Factory Reset
Method 1:
Turn the light switch controlling the bulb to the OFF position.
Flip the light switch on and off 10 times (approx. 1 second duration each). Stop when the light is on for the fifth time. Three blinks indicate a successful factory reset.
Method 2:
On the Kasa app 'Devices' page, swipe left on the bulb and tap 'Delete'. Alternatively, tap the smart bulb and navigate to 'Settings' > 'Remove Device'.

Discover Kasa
Pair your Smart Bulb with Amazon Alexa, Google Home Assistant, or SmartThings for a hands-free experience. Kasa also integrates with Nest to automate actions based on your arrival or departure. For detailed instructions, launch the Kasa app and navigate to [+] > Device > WORKS WITH KASA > See All.
