About This Guide
This guide provides a brief introduction to the Smart Bulb and the Kasa Smart app, along with regulatory information. Please note that features may vary slightly by model and software version. All images, parameters, and descriptions are examples and may not reflect your actual experience.

Introduction
The Smart Bulb is part of the Kasa smart home family, offering integration with plugs, switches, and cameras. Users can adjust brightness, track energy consumption, set schedules and timers, and simulate sunrise alarms. Grouping lights allows for easier control and custom scene creation. Multiple smart home devices can be controlled via the Kasa app or voice commands, making home management convenient.

- No Hub Required: Screws in like an ordinary bulb. Requires Kasa Smart app and Wi-Fi connection.
- Scheduling: Set bulbs to turn on/off automatically when home or away.
- Energy Saving: Reduces power usage without compromising light quality.
- Voice Control: Compatible with Amazon Echo, Dot, Tap, and Google Assistant.
- Remote Control: Easily set up and control bulbs from anywhere using the Kasa Smart app.

- KL50: Dimmable, Soft White. Offers a dimming range from 1%-100% for any occasion.

Set Up Your Smart Bulb
Follow these steps to set up your smart bulb using the Kasa Smart app:

Step 1: Download Kasa
Get the Kasa Smart app from the App Store or Google Play.

Step 2: Log In
Open the app and log in with your TP-Link ID. Create an account if you don't have one.

Step 3: Add Device
Tap the [+] button in the Kasa Smart app. Select 'Add a Device' > 'Smart Lights' > 'Filament LED Bulb'. Follow the app instructions to complete the setup.
Main Device Controls
After setup, the Kasa Smart app's 'Devices' page lists your smart bulbs. Tap a bulb to access its specific page for detailed configuration.
Devices Page:
Lists your smart bulbs and other smart home devices. Allows instant turning on/off.
Smart Bulb Page:
Provides detailed configuration options for your bulb, including Power, Brightness, Presets, Schedule, and Usage.

Configure Your Smart Bulb
On the Smart Bulb page, you can adjust light temperature, set schedules, track energy consumption, and change settings.
Presets and Recents:
Tap to add presets and apply recently used settings to your smart bulb.

Create Event (Scheduling):
Set schedules for your smart bulb to automate daily routines with On/Off actions. You can set specific times and repeating days.

Usage:
View and track energy consumption details, including daily and predicted yearly savings compared to a standard 60W bulb.

Device Settings:
Change device settings, including name and icon. Configure default states for when the bulb is turned on via the app or power source. Options include 'Last "ON" State'. Advanced settings and device information are also available, along with an option to remove the device.

Create Scenes
A scene is a preset group of smart devices programmed, customized, and activated simultaneously with a single touch. Scenes allow you to easily set your mood, activity, or prepare for special occasions by automating your smart home devices.
Example scenes include:
- Good Morning: Get ready for the day by turning on devices.
- Good Night: Turn everything off before bedtime.
- Movie Night: Dim the lights for showtime.
- Custom: Create your own personalized scene.
Discover Kasa
Integrate your Smart Bulb with voice assistants like Amazon Alexa or Google Home Assistant for a hands-free experience. Kasa also works with Samsung SmartThings to trigger changes based on your arrival or departure.
To set up integrations, launch the Kasa Smart app and navigate to 'Add Device' > 'WORKS WITH KASA' > 'Amazon Alexa / Google Assistant / Samsung SmartThings' for detailed instructions.
